In her first solo and unscripted interview since succeeding Joe Biden atop the Democratic Party, Vice President Kamala Harris touted the Biden administration’s decision to pause the delivery of certain munitions to Israel as the country continues its 11-month war with Hamas in Gaza.
Speaking at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) conference in Philadelphia on Tuesday, Harris pointed to the suspension of 2,000-pound bombs as a key move by the White House to push Israel toward a ceasefire. “One of the things that we’ve done that I’m entirely supportive of is the pause that we put on the 2000-pound bombs,” Harris stated, emphasizing that the administration had used its leverage to encourage a peaceful resolution. “So, there is some leverage that we have had and used,” she added.
“I absolutely believe that this war has to end, and it has to end as soon as possible,” she said.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu publicly criticized the U.S. decision to delay munitions in a social media post from mid-June. He likened the situation to World War II, invoking Winston Churchill’s plea to the U.S. for weapons to defeat the Axis powers. “Give us the tools and we’ll finish the job a lot faster,” Netanyahu said, calling the Biden administration’s actions “inconceivable.”
The White House defended its stance, with national security communications adviser John Kirby saying, “It was perplexing to say the least, certainly disappointing.” Kirby noted that no other country has done more to support Israel in its fight against Hamas. He reiterated that while the administration paused delivery of the 2,000-pound bombs, other weapon systems were not withheld.
However, shortly after Netanyahu’s comments, Republican Senators Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.) and Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) echoed the prime minister’s concerns, accusing the Biden administration of delaying a broader range of arms sales to Israel, including F-15 fighter jets and smart bomb kits. They argued that the administration had withheld formal notifications required to finalize these sales, thus delaying their delivery.
Cotton further criticized the administration’s handling of the situation, accusing it of engaging in “sleight-of-hand” tactics. “Your administration has manipulated this requirement by withholding formal notification to Congress of approved weapons sales,” Cotton said, claiming that the administration was playing politics with the nation’s honor and Israel’s security.

she’s such an evil b*tch..she hates Israel and she wants to appease the pro hamas base of hers
If reports are to be believed, Israel has done effective work with 2 gram bombs.
...and 70% of the Jewish people will still vote for her. Pure suicidal.
That war will not end so long as Hamas lives and has support from the citizens of Gaza and Iran buying the weapons for Hamas. It is that damn simple.
Germany and Japan did not surrender until they were devastated by allied forces. We burned their cities, we nuked Japan and they then surrendered. When we burned their cities and dropped atomics on Japan they then knew it was over. This entailed great losses of the civilian population and by modern standards are considered innocents. They were not innocents. They toiled the fields for production of food, they worked in the factories making the goods for war, they were not innocents. The only innocents were the very old and very young. They were incapable of being part of the war machine. They died also and were the few innocents.
If one is willing to “Cry Havoc and let slip the dogs of war,” it is probable you will not need to do go to war. War comes to you when you are weak and not willing to kill your enemy before he becomes a menace.
Maybe.

Sadly, many will vote AGAINST their self-interest by voting ‘RAT.
Thought we were talking about orca wimpfree at first.
I would wager that the diff is not quite that expansive, however I do suspect that it's likely above 50/50 in favor of Ms. Harris.
I don't understand, and then yet I do. I know quite a few Dems, obedient of course, and they think party before Country.
Odd, since the Dem Party gives absolutely nobody a reason to believe or trust them. Dem voters, even when devastated by sky high crime and stratospheric inflation, will tell you that crime is down and that the economy is the best in years.
This comes to mind:
The nation is like a mighty lion;
When it is sleeping, no one dares wake it.
Whoever blesses Israel will be blessed,
And whoever curses Israel will be cursed.”
Numbers 24:9
And:
I will bless those who bless you,
But I will curse those who curse you.
And through you I will bless all the nations.
Genesis 12:3
Supporting the Nation of Israel’s right to exist has its advantages. Harris ( and Biden) have no idea what they are messing with, they will find out in perfect timing.
An example of a Russian bunker buster is the KAB-1500L-Pr. It is delivered with the Su-24M and the Su-34 aircraft. It is stated to be able to penetrate 10–20 m of earth or 2 m of reinforced concrete. The bomb weighs 1,500 kg (3,300 lb), with 1,100 kg (2,400 lb) being the high explosive penetrating warhead. It is laser guided and has a reported strike accuracy of 7 m (23 ft) CEP.
Same people that thought nothing was going to happen to them in 1937
If I were her, I would trade cell phones with my husband.
Well first of all, everyone wants the war to end. The question is under what terms? Israel has had enough of the attrition, threatened on four borders (Gaza, West Bank, Jordan, Syria). It has to end with a lasting peace and a change in attitude towards Israel’s right to live quiet life. They need a peace like that of Egypt and Jordan. It may be a cold peace but it’s been a peace (though Israel hasn’t exactly made much noise about Egypt not doing enough to disrupt smuggling into Gaza).
Second, if I recall correctly, this halt of 2000 lb bombs had to do with the Biden/Harris poor policy of demanding Israel not go to into Rafah. She tried to coerce them. They said it would be a mass casualty issue. They were wrong on all counts. Israel successfully evacuated the civilians, then went into Rafah and took it in a matter of weeks; ultimately claiming they destroyed the last major Hamas battalions holding out there. They also captured dozens of miles of smuggling tunnels that led into Egypt which had been their source of nearly all their weapons supplies and underground building supplies. Rafah had to be captured and Israel did it - without the 2000 pound bombs. They did it from the ground risking and losing their own soldiers in the process.
The 2000 pound bombs were needed to smash into the deep tunnels - Hamas knew that if they went deep it would be harder to collapse them with lighter weapons. The 2000 lb bombs were not going to be used on above ground infrastructure only to hit known deep tunnels. Again, it was part of Harris “I read the maps” errant belief that somehow ceasing fire without eliminating Hamas’ capacity to make war would be helpful.
Now, will she try to stop them again if Israel has to do the same to Hezbullah?
We’ll see. Trump will probably do better than 30% in 2024. Though there is a question of whether Jews will want to identify themselves in phone calls or street interviews given the climate on the streets. If some random person asks “are you Jewish” some may think twice about admitting it and not worrying it’s some ruse by terrorists or violent protestors.
So, she’s proud of prolonging the war?
And therefore I call on Hamas to release the remaining hostages and surrender immediately.
Nah, she didn't say that of course.
