The governor announced the state would be conducting its own investigation on the incident. He said he does not believe it is “in the best interest” of the state to have “the same federal agencies that are seeking to prosecute Donald Trump leading this investigation.”
“I think [the federal government has taken] the position they don’t want the state of Florida to be involved in this. But here’s the thing, there were multiple violations of Florida law across multiple jurisdictions,” DeSantis said on the Ingraham show.
DeSantis said Routh, the suspect, committed potential violations of Florida law, and the state has “a duty to investigate this.”
“We have a duty to bring the appropriate charges, and we also have a duty to inform the public about how this happened,” DeSantis said.

Kudos, Gov. DeSantis. We all know no information will be coming out of the investigation by the Federales that Bidumb, KommieLa, Merrick Garland, Christopher Wray, and other corruptniks do not want to come out.
When I said the second day I thought the agencies would “lose” the records of digital phone files of the timeline of calls just before the shooting, it actually happened that they have no such records.
Would prove if local law enforcement got citizens’ tips and told Secret Service so they could shut down the Trump speech right away. “There he is, up there. He has a gun.”
Delay the speech, get him below the area at the podium.
Like happens at concerts and speeches while FBI and bomb squad search a big backpack or a plain white van somewhere. Then the go ahead after the delay. Not with Trump===just go out and talk, sir. Go ahead.

Pretty easy to figure out DeSantis

Then don’t cooperate with the feds on anything to include tax collection and military recruitment. Build a better career path for the Florida Militia.
And several serial killer books describe the warfare and turf jealousy among law enforcement agencies, especially with local deputies and officers. They try to cover up embarrassing mistakes and incompetence.
Examples: Jeffrey Dahmer, cannibal serial killer.

The feds will sue FLA and end up with everything anyhow.
The state of Florida should reciprocate, say the next time one of the high priced Administration Pukes travels down to Florida and needs protection. Just not cooperate.
The Feds have no choice except to stonewall. The truth will reveal massive incompetence or willful decisions to not protect President Trump adequately. I suspect both.
I looked at the google maps of the Butler assassination attempt. The position of the shooter was obviously the number one position to kill Trump. No good guys on that roof? No drones surveilling that roof and other positions? When does incompetence become collusion? I hope it is incompetence as the other choice is very bad.
Yes, huge respect for DeSantis taking a strong stand on this! We like our Governor down here, he’s a man of strong principle.

NEWS FLASH: It's NOT a "success" if the perpetrator has been sitting in a sniper's nest for 8 hours with his gun already trained on his shooting zone, just waiting for President Trump to walk into range.
A "success" would have been a sweep of the outer perimeter from the outside an hour BEFORE President Trump teed off on the first hole and then found Routh hiding in the bushes!
I hope President Trump puts up a high wall on the inside of the chain-link fence that's already there to keep this from happening again.
