The Department of Justice has taken the rare step of issuing a press release on the complex legal future that awaits a California man who told his fellow passengers "This plane is going down" before going on a violent in-flight rampage last week. The DOJ said Charles Angel Salva, 30, is facing charges of interference with flight crew after he allegedly tried to choke a flight attendant and kicked another repeatedly in the shins. The incident occurred on a Frontier Airlines flight from John Wayne Airport to San Francisco Sept. 9.
According to the release, Salva first came to the crew's attention when he pulled the oxygen masks out of their housing in his row of seats. When confronted by flight attendants he ran from them. In the ensuing melee he allegedly choked one, pushed another and later kicked the third flight attendant while the crew and passengers tried to restrain him. He was able to get out of plastic handcuffs and was finally subdued just before the plane landed at Ontario Airport. He could get up to 20 years in prison if convicted.

“When confronted by flight attendants he ran from them”
I’m guessing it was a short pursuit. Sheesh what a lunatic SMH
“Charles Angel Salva” sounds like he could be, umm, an illegal immigrant enriching our culture. The media won’t report it except for the cultural enrichment (violence) part.
He could get up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
Angel Salva, nuff said
20 years just for the 2 firearm charges (possession by felon and obliterated serial number). These charges were the easy ones to charge and keep he locked up until they figure out the other charges.
We literally are Venezuela.
I bet the Harris-Biden $h!tshow has it’s prints all over this clown
I always carried an ink pen with me on flights. I would have stabbed him repeatedly in the neck. Bet that would have calmed him down.
Give the senior flight attendant a taser and the authority to use it on a violent passenger. Tase the bad guy, put zip ties on him and drag him to the back of the plane if he can not walk and continue the flight with apologies to the passengers for the unfortunate incident and inform them their flight will continue on schedule to their destination. After tazing expect an attitude change from the problem passenger. Problem solved.
I miss the days of old. When we flew we wore suits and ties. The ladies were lovely but discretely dressed. The stewardess cared for our needs politely and we were polite to them. The idea of violence on a plane was not a consideration as it did not happen. The meals were good as opposed to today. Tickets were expensive in today’s terms. It was worth it.
The late sixties where the best for air travel.
If he had been flying United Airlines they would have beaten him to a pulp.
Frontier Airlines, that big Greyhound in the sky.
Flight attendants used to light your cigarettes.
That’s the only logical explanation that comes to mind right now.
Do I REALLY have to ask YOGI???
Why should Spirit Airlines passengers have all the fun?
I remember when the “The Walking Dead” was just a fictional TV show.
Today, riding on an airplane is no more than an extended subway or public bus ride.
There is nothing special or nice about it anymore.
You have every POS getting a ticket because they can afford it. The TSA fondling you before you get on the plane. A homosexual male or ugly flight attendant that throws a bag a peanuts at you and pretends that’s service. If you are upset about anything, better keep quiet because they might drag you from the plane. No more free check in, in some cases not even a carry on (Spirit charges for the carry on). Limited drinks, often no or crappy food, no more flight deck for the kids (as a kid I used to go to the cockpit many years ago)... It’s just a stinky and uncomfortable experience.
I truly hate flying and avoid it as much as possible.
That's still the flying of today - just that it's on a timeshare jet, not on the flying bus full of the Great Unwashed.
Don’t use a Bic pen for a job like that!
Most Bic brand pens are of cheap plastic, and would crumble up like candy if used to spike. You would require one of those $28.00 heavy duty, fountain pens, with or without the cartridge.
