Man Accused in Trump Assassination Bid Was ‘A Little Cuckoo,’ Neighbor Says

A neighbor of Ryan Routh, the reported person of interest detained by authorities in the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump, told a local news station in North Carolina that the man was “a little cuckoo” and owned a lot of guns—but still expressed disbelief that he would do anything violent.

“I mean I didn’t think he would go that far. I knew he was a little cuckoo, but assassinating the president? I mean he’s going to be going away for a long time,” an anonymous former neighbor in Greensboro, North Carolina told local station Fox 8. “I just can’t believe it.”

However, she also said that Routh had a lot of firearms at his North Carolina home. “I’ve seen the guns myself and all, and, yeah, they had a lot of guns and stuff over there, and, yeah, a lot of people were afraid of him back in the day,” she said.

The neighbor said Routh moved to Hawaii earlier this year, but before leaving he hired her son to help him move, gave her a Hawaiian shirt as a gift, and embraced her on his last day.

“I thought he was just living the life in Hawaii with the girlfriend and all, so for him to be assassinating the president, that’s just crazy.”

Routh’s son, Oren Routh, also expressed disbelief that his “caring father and honest, hardworking man” would do anything like that.

“I do not know what’s happened in Florida, and I hope that things have just been blown out of proportion, because from the little that I have heard it doesn’t sound like the man I know to do anything crazy, much less violent,” Oren told CNN.

Cuckoo doesn’t buy land in Hawaii at 2017-18 prices.

North Carolina house sold for $135k and he likely owed money on it.

Generally I would agree with you; the few times I have gone over there to check out the sewage flow there have been one or two that seemed slightly more rational than the average moonbat but today it was full-on Jack Nicholson The Shining fu%$ery.

Try flying into war time Ukraine and buying weapons.

See how easy your “unemployed” ass gets out.

Cuckoo is the lazy answer the media is going to feed you.

He planned better than the Secret Service. A member of the public luckily got his license plate.

Supposedly he supported Trump in 2016 then became disillusioned. Voted for outsider Tulsi Gabbard. But then liked Tom Steyer? Maybe the 1000 giveaway idea sounded good.
He seems to be a little more independent than the typical lib.
But he looks like he has been on drugs, at least, he has an thin wasted look for his age, and went from groomed to shabby. Maybe went completely nuts during covid.

"This is the type they recruit to do these jobs."

Well, it wouldn't surprise me. The CIA hired known Nazi war criminal Klaus Barbie "The Butcher of Lyon." Helped get him and his family out of Europe and down to South America. Protected him from French authorities who had a warrant for his arrest, by claiming they had no idea where he was, when they'd set him up at his current location. Once he outlived his usefulness...whatever that was...and Nazi hunters Serge and Beate Klarsfeld got media attention claiming they knew where he was hiding, the CIA dropped him like a hot potato, and he was finally extradited to France for trial.

All those SS, SD, SA and German police the CIA hired, went on to hire other Nazis, and those Nazis hired other Nazis, and so on down the line, to the point that nobody knew who was actually working for them. The CIA never required the first spies they hired to tell them who they had working for them. When the CIA realized that the majority of the "intelligence" they were getting from these criminals was either rumor, gossip or made up, they ended the spy programs, and many of those spies remained in the U.S.

Reinhard Gehlen, an intelligence officer in Hitler's Wehrmacht was hired by the CIA to head a spy group. When the CIA disbanded his group because it went amok, Gehlen ended up back in Germany and weedled himself a job as head of the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) in East Germany under Konrad Adenauer. He was eventually forced to resign when it was discovered that former Nazi Heinz Felfe who was working at the BND, was actually a KGB mole for the Russians.
