Why do the homeless need a Disney vacation? Spend the money on rehab, job training, clean facilities to live in. Security for these facilities to keep drugs and crime out, nutritious meals for the kids. A safe place to exercise and play. Some clean clothes for school.

I think you miss out on the point

The reason there is NYC program for taking homeless kids to Disney Land ( which is a total misalloction of funding ) is not intended to provide at risk homeless kids with a Disney Experience .

It was intended from the got go as Way to provide education officials with a method to take their kids to Disney Land on taxpayer funded junkets.

In places like NYC , everything government is structured around making pols and government officials an entitled class that lives high on the hog on taxpayer money while these grifter pretend to be selfless servants of the people

If you did an audit, you would probably discover very few actual legit homeless kids were taken to Disney Land on this project and it was mostly the kids of government insiders who got selected

Forged permission slips? Who has to sign the permission slip?

Obviously the parent wouldn’t have to forge his or her own name.

The parent of one of the homeless kids has to sign for the kids one of the “chaperones?” That doesn’t seem right either.

Some school administrator has to sign that the kids going are actually homeless, and that signature was forged??

Why the uber expensive Disney World? A day trip to a Six Flags or other nearby Amusement Park would be a thrilling enough outing for a homeless kid. That these entitled pigs at the trough stole trips to Disney for their own is criminal. That trips to Disney itself is over the top to begin with.
