“I am supposed to use them two to three times a day just in my left eye until I go back in two weeks. By that time the tiny bottle will be all used up.”
That’s interesting he’s just treating the one eye - is that the one with the irritation under the lid? If so, I would guess he is treating that and not the dryness.
I’ve been dealing with this for 10 years, plus with cornea neuropathy. I’ve gotten a lot of steroid prescriptions for the CN too so Ive slowly acquired some extra steroid drops. I had an opthamologist tell me they’ll be safe to use years after they are expired, they will just get a little weaker with time. And they would last longer in the refrigerator. They all have preservatives too.
Does your one eye feel better?

Yes he prescribed the steriod drops just for the left eye to treat what he saw as an irritation under the eye lid. I am to use regular eyedrops also in both eyes.
I only began the steroid drops today. I am still feeling a bit of irritation. Will see what happens after the two weeks of usage.
