Anywhere there used to be a prepper thread that was ongoing and it would get to about 10,000 posts and a new one would need to be created. I don’t know if that’s the limit or what. I imagine someone will tell us.
Yes! Just feel badly so may of our special people here - our friends- are knee deep with medical issues, chronic painful conditions,and family and personal issues and it’s a helpless feeling to want to help.

I’m going to try to be more consistent too! I know I count on this thread and it sort of selfish of me when I don’t post very often to expect it to alwabe here for me.. I would hate for it to be gone
I guess if I had been on time I would ask for people to try to post a little more often.
I’m getting ready to drive to Nashville tomorrow, just for 2 days and a couple doctor’s appointments. I’ll check in when I’m waiting and waiting and waiting in the lobbies. And then I’ll let you know if those Marriott beds are as good as ever.

Hate to have to admit it, but at long last I have to admit that I'm gettin' old.
Went to an air show last summer that featured "my" Navy Blue Angels. Went chargin' for the flight line to get some talk/look/smell of JP and suddenly realized that I..could..be..the..grandfather of everybody I saw there, including most of the senior officers.
Then I get into a conversation with one of the pretty girls from our family and realize that she's a GREAT grand daughter who's only a few years from her driver's license/dating/finding a young man to add another generation to the outfit.
Damn.
I'm just gettin' too old and set in my ways for any more changes.

FWIW, I would just finish off this thread at the end of December rather than post a separate thread for December, then move into a new one for January. I don’t see the need for a new thread for just one month....keep in mind that it’s more because I’ll get confused and forget about a little one-month thread and keep posting on the main thread anyway lol. Total self-serving comment to make my senior life easy.
Sounds good - I like our little thread - sometimes it’s busy, sometimes not. We all have lives, but like to pop in every now and then and see what’s going on and touch base. Tis a good thing.
Oh! And for funniest post of 2024, I think our Spunky deserves this, hands down. That post of everyone heading off to our secret island, with her running down the stairs with her bird cage and exit and norsky finding us and running across the beach was hilarious. I still laugh when I think of it.

A new thread to carry us through 2025 would be perfect. I won’t have to remove the old thread and replace it with the new one every month or two.....usually I wind up going to the same thread and wondering where everyone is before I clue in lol.
