Good ones, meme lords!! LOL
Waiting to see where Gen Flynn and Kash Patel wind up.
He certainly deserves a spot
My son was within minutes of passing away Tuesday morning. He hadn’t gotten out of bed by 8:30 - 9:00 which was very unsual for him. His wife went in and started telling him to wake up. There was no response. She started shaking him and massaging his chest and no response. She then got a cold rag and he finally did open his eyes. She called 911 and then he did get out of bed but was out of it. When asked what year it was he said 2015.
He has COPD and asbestoses in his lungs. The blood test showed his Co2 levels were 140. That is the highest the test can go. They told us it was probably even higher. The level shoud be around 23/29. The respiration therapist said she has been in that field for over 20 yrs. and had never seen anyone with levels like that. They put him on a Bi-Pap to try to dray the Co2 out of his system but it wasn’t doing the job. They had to intubate him. Put him on Propofol but it was not working well. They ended up using fentanyl and Versed. They put the shock patches on him just incase. He was then taken to the ICU where they kept him sedated and watched over him closely. He did well through the night.
Wednesday they kept him sedated with the same anesthesia along with other meds. At around 10:00 or so they started backing off the anesthesia to see how he did and then later be able to take the tube out. He seemed to be doing well but around 1:00 or so I saw him start to get agitated. I went to his bedside and tried to find out if it was his feet hurting, back hurting etc. He would shake his head No! and kept trying to tell me something. Even though they had his hands strapped down he all of a sudden leaned forward and was able to bring that hand up and start to pull the intubation tube out. I grabbed his hand and with all my streagth against his I was able to keep him from pulling it out all the way. I am hollering like crazy. The nursing team came running in and was finally able to talk him into letting go. He did manage to get it out a couple of inches. They reinsurted to get it back into position and sedated him again so he was out. Around 3:00 or so they brought him out of it and removed the Tube. They then put him on the Bi-Pap for an hour and told him they would have it on for an hour then take it off so he could eat some apple sauce graham cracker to see how his swallowing would be. He did good eating so they gave him more food later. They put him back on the BiPap over night.
He had a spell like this last year being intubated and all but this time his levels were only around 40. He did end up pulling the tube clear out that time. They sent him home the next day with no plan on how to keep it from happening again.
The plan this time upon release, probably tomorrow or the next day, is to have a Bi-Pap machine all ready for him to use at night while sleeping to deliver oxygen and draw that Co2 out of him. He is a smoker but since in the hospital they put a nicotine patch on him and are giving him Wellbutrin. I am praying he will not go back to smoking. Now if he will listen and do everything the way he is told to do we should be able to have him around several more years. He is 66 years old now.
My heart was beating so hard after that incident yesterday. I think I will be crashing in bed for most of the day.
Freeper friends pray that he will not go back to smoking.
Oh Spunky. How awful. That must have shaken you to your core. I’m glad he’s ok and hopefully will give up the smoking. My son used to smoke, then went to vaping, then moved from that to small amounts of nicotine, about the same as what Tucker uses.
The poor guy - and his wife must have been scared to death! I’m glad you were there for him.....you deserve a good day or two of rest and quiet.
that’s a tough situation, hopefully that smoking habit will be broken. definitely needs prayer.
Finally able to connect
Spunky, that is so so scary what you went through, what he went through and what his wife went through.
I certainly hope you’re right that he won’t smoke again. I’m like that with my son and drinking. Right now he has no access to something to drink unless I get it - which I won’t. But if he gets well enough to get around and drive, that will be the test. He won’t be hurting us. He’ll just be hurting himself and the same with your son.
My son was a fairly heavy smoker also until he went to the hospital. He was weaned off of both the five weeks there but when he came home, we went back to vaping , his daughter encouraged him to go easy but told me that he’s given up so much already that he should be entitled to that
I prefer the vaping because I cannot stand the smoke. It’s very very harmful to me and I’ve been in the hospital with allergic reaction several times with people who were in a room and thinking blowing smoke the other direction helped. so the vaping is good that way for me but it’s the same nicotine and poison in flux as before. Keep us posted on your son.
What’s his first name, hon
I have been waiting to see where Patel and Flynn will be assigned also and a couple others. Mark Robinson from North Carolina ran for governor and was defeated. He served well as our lieutenant governor. He addressed a couple of trumps rallies.
I would also see like to see Barron and his friend Bo London also from Palm Beach he may be assigned ambassadors to teens for Trump. Something like that and maybe adding a woman of the same age to the mix.
“What’s his first name, hon”
Richard.
👍
When I noticed you were back in Auburn, it really concerned me that maybe something more had gone in your life at very short notice. I can’t say that I’m glad it’s “just the cancer” because there’s “never just a cancer”
And you will be home two years in a row for Thanksgiving with your dad and brother that will be nice
Wow, Spunky, that is terrible about your son.
My heart was beating fast just reading your account.
Praying for Richard to stop smoking for good this time.
Don’t think “just the cancer”, think “minor, but necessary” nose operation.
Spunky, my prayers are with all of you and family. Take whatever time you need.
Well here’s hoping Ang prayin Richard will make daily good choices for his health. It’s hard to give up an addiction. More than hard.
Well, it appears that in bankruptcy auction, Infowars was purchased by the onion. What the heck are they going to do with it?
And why aren’t all the other news agencies being sued for wrong information and for inaccurately labeling Trump and Trump followers?
Just read that Joy Reed dropped and deleted her X account. That’s good news. If more Libs would leave the forum it would be much better. I understand there copy cat to X for them is called Blue Sky with about 1 million members and participants. They can all just go lie to each other instead of, polluting the X forum
Well now I’m reading no buyer yet announced from the bankruptcy auction but saw on many sites earlier it was the Onion
The government is going to get zero if no buyers, what a pity
