The list of difficult to learn languages seems to correlate well to math proficiency. of course, this article relates to non-native speakers, but the discussion of mandarin, other character written languages at least superficially relates to the question of why those kids do better in math proficiency, with this wstern language also seeming to correlate.

I’m just listening to the Rogan/Trump podcast. It’s good that Rogan is assertive and will jump in to bring Trump back to point. Sometimes that “weave” can get annoying (for me at least) when he overdoes it with the detail and the story takes so much longer than necessary.
Having said that, I’m likely more aware of it because I’ve heard him tell these same stories for so long....but this is an entirely new audience reach, so people are seeing a funny and very human side of him....the real Trump. Not Hitler Trump.
I have my licorice supply being delivered today! Two bags each of red and black. The one from Australia. I haven’t ordered it in awhile, as the price to consumption ratio makes it a little expensive lol.

While I was on extended trip to Oklahoma (broke ankle) the raccoons that invaded my home opened the box and all the bags. Yes pricey!
The raccoons also ate everything else in home including opening refrigerator and freezer. Clever rascals

I just texted with one Wisconsin voter who changed her mind because of this Rogan interview.
She’s a super-educated, highly successful business woman and suburban mom.
She was going to sit it out because she hates Trump but thinks Harris’s policies are terrible.
She watched the interview with her husband who’s a huge Rogan fan and after seeing Trump in long form she changed her mind. Trump’s sincere love for the troops and the conversation about the Afghan withdrawal tilted it.
She said that after seeing him talk for so long she sees that he’s like her dad. He just speaks like people from a different time and place and he’s not the monster shown in sound bites.
