As long as the ballots are received within the deadline and contain the required information I don’t think a handwritten date on the envelope serves a legit purpose. A post mark is more reliable for authenticity if a question arises if it was submitted in time.
It’s not on the form. It is on the outer envelope.
I don’t think many here are even grasping that point.
Post marks can be faked too.
If they are going thru the effort to fake ballots, higher people to do all sorts of manipulative stuff to steal elections they could easily make a stamp to resemble a postage cancellation mark.
Umm, a few decades too late. We are near the point of too much socialism planted and rooted already to weed it out, need some Round-Up. Will be toxic but otherwise like poison ivy, and other invasive plants, if you leave any bit of root, it will grow again.
Hard to get rid of roots started a few hundred years ago in US.
God knows the evil in this world. Thankfully He raises up and strengthens some people to do right and stand strong or when needed fight the evil.
You must be joking. Someone is going to go through all the trouble of fabricating a fake postmark, but they’re going to write a wrong date on the envelope? LOL.
Voting-By-Mail is how the communists took control in 2008 and they will not be giving it up. Sure they went into hiding for four years example Biden ‘teaching’ at a university but they never went away. The Obamas live in Washington DC. Think about it.
“...upholding the requirement, that instructed county boards of elections not to count ballots without a date..”
Guidance.
Not a PA-legislatively promulgated requirement?
Not Constitutional.
Unless a “handwritten date on the outer envelope” was in the Election Laws passed by the State Congress, in session.
Before that, it was well known that absentee ballots were always super-majority conservative. That's because conservative voters work for a living, and after paying hefty taxes, still have money to travel, and can follow absentee ballot instructions.
The original Scholastic Aptitude Test awarded 400 points just for successfully filling out the bubbles correctly for the test taker's name and test date. If there was any kind of cognitive function test like that on mail-in ballots, the Demonrats could never win another election.
It’s not up to a judge or a court to decide if a law can be disregarded. If it’s constitutional it should be enforced. If it’s stupid it up to the legislature to change it.
EC
I agree.
It’s a trick.
The PA Constitution does not permit mail in ballots; it only permits absentee ballots.
And they need a signature to be valid.
