Pls see my #42. These agencies are not without legions of constituents who will launch well funded and aggressive campaigns to defend their interests. This will be a much broader battle than just Trump vs. the entrenched bureaucracy.
HOW DARE ANY EMPLOYEE TELL ANY FAMILY WITH MEMBERS AT ARLINGTON WHEN THEY CAN COME & PAY RESPECTS????

No where did I say reducing personnel, changing structure, etc. of these legislative created agencies would be easy. I think Trump may understand now that being the chief executive of the US Government is not the same as being CEO of a corporation. He was not alone in that type of thinking many today still think it is, it isn’t. It’s that way by both Founding Fathers design and the buildup over time of bureaucratic inertia. I think because overt Rat authoritarian behavior, lawfare, etc. people recognize something must be done. In restructuring where he needs legislative support, he can make headway if he dangles agency & bureaucracy moves in front of gaining GOP senators\congresscritters. Even Graham would sell out his Rat senator brethren if he thought he was raining something for SC. Almost all the losers will be from Rat Land. However, the unilateral steps that he can take he should have plans to take on day one! Hopefully he should have no more naive notions he’s dealing with professionals.
Bryson DeChambeau could hit a three-wood from the District of Columbia border to the Arlington National Cemetery Welcome Center if he kept it on the asphalt.
laches, no standing. 2 can play that game and it’s about time we did

I really hope you’re right. While lots of sentient people do recognize it, the sheeple are many and they love the notion of free stuff, government largesse and are even OK with being ruled over. In this regard, the culture and demographic makeup of the country are far different than they used to be.
Moreover, the general level of awareness is also alarming low (e.g., low information voters). This combo of factors is contributing to our national decline and making efforts at restoring sound governing principles much harder to do.
We have a very short time window to turn things around IMHO.
The Trump team filmed it and is considering releasing it, but has not out of the distraction from the solemn event.
My understanding from someone there is that person went full fledged TDS cry bully break down, like a two year old having a tantrum. Completely unhinged leftist.
A lot would quit.
Probably a fake meltdown so he would make video for the propaganda media to use instead of the solemn video that should have been shown with Trump paying his respects. Propaganda media consumers will never know that Trump was invited to pay his respects
Once they are reduced to a realistic size adequate to perform their statutory duties - probably 10 - 15% of their current size.
Oh, and everyone above GS-12 is immediately ‘retired’.
It’s ridiculous that they gave Trump trouble about coming in.
Worse is the unconstitutional system that we have now. An uncontrolled Deep State that answers to nobody and is destroying our country, and who now controls the workforce of the Executive Branch.
It's a big "no" to what you said. The Chief Executive has clear constitutional powers to hire and fire anybody that they want in the Executive Branch. The courts need to get out of the way if and when Trump cleans up the corrupt executive branch work force that has for several generations, been allowed to thrive according to your unconstitutional philosophy.
Of course there will be legal challenges. The courts needs to read the Constitution and get out of the way if and when Trump tries to cleans up the executive branch..
And my important point remains. Trump has the Constitutional power to fire them all if he wants, on day one. The existing laws that would limit his powers to do this are unconstitutional.
> The Chief Executive has clear constitutional powers to hire and fire anybody that they want in the Executive Branch. <
You are certainly correct when it comes to the military. The Constitution explicitly makes the president the commander-in-chief. With that title comes great power.
But I don’t see explicit power granted to the President for entire executive branch (appointees excepted). That would be a king-like power. Instead, the president is governed by relevant laws passed by Congress. Due process would apply.
I certainly could be wrong, as I am not a constitutional lawyer. So if you could point me to a clause that gives the president such wide power, I might learn something new!
P.S. You are 100% correct about the danger posed by the Deep State. That’s an evil the Founders couldn’t conceive of. If we get lucky and get Trump back in the White House along with a GOP Congress, hopefully things will change.
“The courts needs to read the Constitution”

We are living in what many describe as a post-constitutional republic. And the courts have been highly politicized.
We may soon see just how much.
