They defined their belief, changing mid stream doesn’t change anything.

DEI aka Dumb Equity Imposers
To: george76
My son works there part time. He loved working there. There was a full time opening about 6 months ago he applied for but they hired Abdul. This past Sunday he said he was done with them and their diversity hiring. I can’t wait to send him this article.

Somewhere floating around is video of him on some talking head show saying that “conservatives should just go to Home Depot if they think like that”. I did. DEI of course.

Conservative activist Robby Starbuck has gotten Lowe's, Tractor Supply, Jack Daniel's, and John Deere to retreat from identity-based employee policies and donations to left-wing activism.
He got them to stop pushing that crap openly, but retreat from those policies? I doubt it.
To: george76
I’ve seen the name “Robby Starbuck” a few times but didn’t really know anything about the guy. But the last few corporations I’ve read about him backing down from leftist positions is very impressive. Keep it up, Robby Starbuck.

DEI is threaded throughout these companies now. You can remove a DEI "department", but the belief system is still there.

SF. Lowes parachuted in when HD was run out before opening. HD then settled on Daly City next door. Was it money or this stuff?

Guess I can start shopping there again.

Unless they fire the CEO that said if I didn’t like their DEI policies I should shop elsewhere, I will give those other business 100% of my business.

What’s the rush? Plenty I mom and pop hardware stores around.
Lowes may have gotten rid of DEI, but may implement the same policies with a different name.
Trust but verify
