Trump rally gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks used encrypted messaging accounts on various platforms located in Belgium, New Zealand and Germany, according to a member of a congressional task force investigating his assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump.
Rep. Michael Waltz (R-Fla.), one of 13 lawmakers tapped to serve on the House bipartisan task force, told reporters at a Wednesday press conference at the Trump Hotel Chicago that the “overseas accounts” piqued his suspicion immediately regarding the shooter’s motives.”
“Why does a 19-year-old kid who is a health care aid need encrypted platforms not even based in the United States, but based abroad – where most terrorist organizations know it is harder for our law enforcement to get into?” asked Waltz.
“That’s a question I’ve had since day one,” the Republican panel member said, before pivoting to bash the US Secret Service and FBI for declining to release the full findings of their investigation into the July 13 shooting at a Trump rally. “They need to be releasing information as they come across it, because this wasn’t an isolated incident. The threats are continual,” Waltz claimed, citing the alleged “sophisticated plot” by an Pakistani national who paid off purported hitmen to assassinate Trump and other US officials.***

It’s common sense that he had someone behind paying him to go on the top of the building and pretend to shot and they gave him money somewhere across the ocean. They had to kill him. There were too many people saw him’
Despite all the repeated claims there is still some doubt whether Crooks is alive or dead—and who was killed on the roof.

I agree- it is meaningless without more information. Several of the more popular VPN services (I hear the stupid ads every day on conservative podcasts and radio), are based in Europe. E.g., NordVPN, ProtonVPN. ProtonMail is switzerland (perhaps what you are talking about). ExpressVPN is British Virgin Islands. Not sure where Telegram is based these days, but not the USA. Totally normal to be using any or several of these services.
What exactly do they mean by “encrypted messages”? Even I have a ProtonMail account, which is based in Switzerland.

Why doesn’t the SS or FBI produce the rifle used and the recovered bullets and prove that they were fired from that rifle ?
Why weren’t agents scouring the area of the rally looking for bullets ?
Why did one of the rally staff have photos of 2 dead snipers on his cell phone ?
Why were the LEO’s sneaking evidence out of the AGR building ?
The real evidence is being buried and the public is being fed BS. Tons of it.
Crooks didn’t fire a shot. Crooks didn’t even have a rifle with him. The dead guy on the roof wasn’t Crooks.
And you have proof of that claim ?
There is video of the entire sequence.
Was this video taken by a drone, or by a rally attendee wearing a jetpack ??? Or was it a TMZ cameraman who patiently waited on the roof out in the hot sun, having been informed ahead of time about the assassination attempt that was going to happen ?
Prove that the claim is false. That should be easy enough.

Crookes was in plain view of bystanders when he fired the shots. The ground slopes up from the building and the rooftop is visible from a standing position on one side. There is at least one video, perhaps two, and over a dozen still photos of the incident. One of the videos was posted briefly on Twitter.
Worst assassination tactics ever. But Crookes was an inexperienced patsy who was told where to go and what to do when he got there. He almost succeeded. Not bad for a low-budget project using a volunteer.
It does appear that he had an escape plan, involving a remote detonator and a bomb in a van. He never had time to do that part.
TMZ bought up the best video of the shooter and the FBI confiscated as many of the photos as they could. Perhaps another reader in this forum has a Twitter premium account and was quick enough to download that video before it was removed?

It was posted on Twitter for about thirty minutes or so before it was taken down. The media firm TMZ bought the rights to it and have shown some heavily redacted pieces a few times. They haven't shown the whole thing, and the critical details of what they have shown are blurred out.

That is a pretty good point. Everything about the original identification of the shooter was sketchy and way too quickly announced. Why, it is almost like they knew who he was supposed to be before the event started. And who was that Yearick fellow who was first identified as the shooter? What happened to him?
The stonewalling on the autopsy details is another indicator of a coverup to protect government officials. There is also the dead silence about the bomb in the van and the remote detonator that the shooter (Crookes?) was carrying.
The Butler Police Department has been the only one forthcoming with much substantial information from their body cameras. I guess they do not like being setup as the scapegoats to take the blame from the Secret Service.
I am going with Crookes as the shooter, but regardless, the shooter had help from parties as yet unidentified. It is as plain as sunrise that high-level people in the Secret Service "looked the other way" and left monstrous security gaps in the coverage of the venue.
Was there indirect communication with the shooter as to where the security gaps would be? Or were they just hoping he would be smart enough to spot the gaps on his own? The entire chain of command is culpable.
And who in the Biden administration gave the directions for this? Beyond that, who in the sponsoring factions gave the directions for the assassination attempt to the handlers in the Biden administration?
These are the questions that investigators should be asking.
