Chicago’s run of peaceful rallies outside the Democratic National Convention came to an end Tuesday night when a group of protesters marched into a line of police, setting off a violent scrum on Madison Street outside one of the city’s major commuter rail stations.
The protesters walked directly into a large group of police officials, four officers deep, around 7:30 p.m. The officers began to push them the other way and yelled, “Move back, move back.” Scuffles began to break out, and officers wearing helmets moved into the crowd.
Video showed officers overwhelming some of the protesters, pushing them to the ground in an effort to secure the chaotic scene. Afterward, the demonstrators began to move east on Madison toward Canal Street, where hundreds of additional officers were waiting.
A police supervisor eventually declared it an “unlawful assembly.”

I guess they still can enforce public safety when they want to.
BTTT
This is like NFL injury reports. You don’t wish hurt on anyone but if it helps your team win you quietly applaud it.
It’s like the Middle East. They’re all crazy.
Yup. Quite a bit different from the BLM/Antifa days when the orders to stand down were given.
So the commie libs and their muzzie terrorist-loving offspring are finally bumping heads! Yee haw! You commie libs raised the piggies and sent them to “college” to be programmed and indoctrinated. You idiots deal with it.
This is Kabuki theater. It’s coordinated. This is so Kamala can say, “I hear you” to the crowd to imply she’ll be tougher on Bibi than Biden has been, without totally alienating Jewish voters.
The DA stated only yesterdaythat protesters won't be prosecuted. It's a get-out-of-jail-free card for mayhem and violence.
And exactly what you would expect to happen, is now happening.
But I'm wondering to myself "how does this help the 'rats win the election?"
Maybe it's not the mayhem, it's the lockdown that's the goal?
I agree shut it down a send all the leaders to Guantanamo Bay detention camp ,LOL
So much JOY on display....
Loot and burn regular businesses? That’s OK. See Walz’s background. Protest the DNC, get arrested. Gee, it’s almost like there are two tiers of justice.
Sunshine, and rain.
“I agree shut it down a send all the leaders to Guantanamo Bay detention camp”
I’ve seen references several times on FR to send people to Guantanamo. The reason prisoners are held there is because they were taken into custody under military rules which do not include things like reading the prisoners their rights. If they were moved onto American soil than the government would, by law, be required to charge them with something and take them to court. That puts them under American criminal law. The first question a lawyer would ask is, “Were they read their rights?” The answer is no. The judge has no choice but to release them. Hence, they’re held overseas so this doesn’t come up. American citizens can’t be moved overseas so sending any AMerican to Gitmo is not an option.
Come on demonstrators you can do better than that
“Still no looting and burning on the scale I expected.”
*************
Their leaders were probably bribed not to go too far. A few incentives to keep the lid on things don’t you know.
They are running out of time. Hurry, antifa! Go down queers for palestine! Didn’t they deliver the pallets of bricks?
The pro-Hamas protesters understand if they get out of hand it might hurt the Democrats in the November election, so they’ve decided to protest mostly peacefully.
Wow.
They’re really upset.
🧸
Patience. So far it appears to be only probing skirmishes.
Kim Foxx, the Soros bought-and-paid for DA has stated that none of them will be charged. It’s not like they were republicans, or anything really bad.
Clash? No murders?
