More that they can tax you on and get funneled back into their pockets....when they've killed off your job and you can no longer afford payments, they take your home for pennies on the dollar and you're pushed into the tent cities with the other "new arrivals".

Time to start preparing your finances to pick these houses up as repossessions. It is going to be a “flippers” market.

“…seeing success, as people are moving into their own houses.”

“Success” is giving away money and watching people spend it?

No, “success” will be measured in five years when owners have made payments and not lost the house. Plus the free money crowd will have to go see if there is pride of ownership — the house is well maintained, not falling apart, no chickens and goats in the yard, no weeds to your waist, no 23 relatives living in the house, no three cars in the front yard on cinder blocks, no drug dealing or prostitution.

$15,000 forgivable loan and $2,500 flex payment

Once again, we were never offered such breaks. You buy the house, you pay for the house. Just like you attend college, you pay your tuition. You charge on your card, you pay your card.

I'm colored. Sort of pinkish beige so where's my freebies? Oh, it is really the pinkish beige folk who are disenfranchised.

Maybe if our government did stuff like this for 60 years costing billions of dollars, every American of African Descent would finally be happy.

I suppose they will also get help paying for those hidden costs of home ownership that don’t get calculated in the monthly payment of mortgage, taxes and insurance. Do they get help with those monthly payments as well?

Getting into a home is often not the biggest problem. Being able to afford staying in it is.

The ‘tell’ is in the headline. Why use the word ‘community’ instead of ‘citizens’ or ‘residents’.
