A 22-year-old man has been arrested after a multiple stabbing incident in Manchester left a woman dead and two others seriously injured late Sunday evening.
A 43-year-old woman died, and a 17-year-old girl and a 64-year-old man have been hospitalised with “life-threatening injuries” after they suffered “serious stab wounds” during an incident at a property in the Gorton area of Manchester, England.
A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder shortly after the stabbings, which occurred around 11:20 pm on Sunday, Greater Manchester Police said.
No further information about the suspect has been made public at the time of this reporting, however, the Manchester Evening News reports that detectives believe the man was “known” to the victims, and the stabbings are thought to have been an “isolated” incident.
In a statement issued on Monday morning, Detective Superintendent Toby Facey said: “We understand that the local community and further afield across Greater Manchester will be rightly shocked and concerned after waking up and hearing this tragic news this morning.
“Our thoughts remain with those affected and their loved ones at this difficult time. We are doing all we can to support them.
“Within minutes of the call being made, our officers were at the scene and an arrest had been made.

Cannot help but wonder whether the new government in UK is activating these people, considering the timing (just after the new government takes power). The benefit to the new government is that they’d be able to rid themselves of opposition, once and for all, as they crack-down on the Brits who oppose random stabbings in public places.
Funny how most criminal investigations take a bit of time. And rightfully so. But the cops can almost instantly determine that an attack was not terror-related.
As a side note, you cannot even carry pepper-spray for self-defense in the UK. The police instead recommend a whistle. How pathetic is that? I wonder if a stout shillelagh would be okay.
(The coppers would probably arrest him later. But I think this guy would probably win in a street conflict with an Islamist.)

One guy is serving time for possessing, but not using a ‘truncheon’ at demonstration last month. So this guy would be in gaol.
And spreading any speculation about the stabber, especially his immigration status or religion will also get you arrested, tried and convicted within days if you are posting in the U.K.

They don’t have the excuse of withholding the name because the suspect is a minor, so why aren’t they releasing it? The government and media played dumb after the stabbing of the girls two weeks ago, pretending that the rioting occurred in a vacuum. There have been many stabbings perpetrated by Muslims throughout Europe in recent years, and - because that crime fit the pattern - many assumed the perp was a Muslim.
