Supporters of former President Donald Trump have reacted furiously to a recent announcement that he backs bringing 'a lot of' migrants into the country.
Trump, 78, made the remarks Thursday at a press conference in Bedminster, New Jersey, outside his Trump National Golf Club.
'Basically, we're going to drill, baby drill, get the energy prices down, almost immediately, we're going to close the border and get the bad ones out,' the Republican began. 'And we're gonna let a lot of people come in.'

Here’s how it works, for 80% of all couples who are illegal immigrants:
The woman gets pregnant. The happy couple hovers two blocks from the border, in cities like Juarez & Tijuana. The closer the due date, the closer they get to the border.
When the woman’s water breaks, she crosses the border & screams in pain. She’s taken to the hospital in El Paso or San Diego. And each Mamacita’s first “anchor baby” is born. Papacito has to wait until Mamacita calls him from the hospital, on the cellphone that a left-wing NGO gave him. Then HE crosses the border & says he’s the father of a US citizen who was just born in the US, so they have to let him in.
Then Papacito works construction, or landscaping, or roofing or as a general laborer. Mamacita is rushed into a public housing project, ahead of native born Americans. She gets food stamps, free housing, free top quality medical care for the entire brood, because Papacito pretends he isn’t living with them or contributing a dime to their support.
Whenever the anchor babies get old enough, they get free English As a Second Language instruction in the public schools. All the way through college. And somehow they get straight A’s in Spanish, to bring their GPAs up. That nice GPA, plus affirmative action (which is still happening, but they don’t call it that), get them into the finest universities, ahead of native born Americans of European or Asian descent. Then the finest law schools, medical schools, business schools & engineering schools.
And they will vote Democrat for their entire lives, 100% guaranteed, because they don’t want Mamacita & Papacito to get deported.
That’s the equation, with all of its constants. Variables are nonexistent. These are all constants.
Let’s introduce a few new constants: (A) eliminate birthright citizenship, (B) any city or state that hands out a dime of welfare to any illegal immigrant, or practices a “we don’t call ICE when we arrest an illegal immigrant” policy, or fails to use eVerify for anybody applying for a job, gets all federal aid cut off for ten years.
I support deporting ILLEGALS of all sexes, races, ethnicity, and country of origin. I am ABSOLUTELY colorblind on the topic.
Your support for Trump is thready at best. You must be hoping for short memories of people on this forum. I and many other others remember well your anti-Trump/pro-DeSantis rants. Once DeSantis was out, you donned your MAGA hat. Unfortunately, it fits quite loosely on your head.
Check his hearing?
He’ll have to extract his head from their Deep State’s bum first.
We aren’t Japan at all and can’t be, we aren’t Japanese, try to think American.
Yeah, like I was going to subscribe to the Daily Male until the staff started buggering one another, NOW I won’t.
I support legal immigration.
Get the illegals out.
You broke the law getting in, your out.
You come in legally, you work, you pay into the system, you get to stay.
Green card and tax the legal workers, who don’t immigrate. Make them pay for basic services like everybody else. That will increase the costs, but help everyone.
No Federal money, no social security, and no benefits for legal migrants until they put in the time and taxes.
Fix the problems and Americans will do just fine.
100%
You do realize that in 2016, Trump appointed Stephen Miller as advisor to the President, (expertise on immigration policies).
Miller is absolutely rock solid on immigration. I actually wish Miller was president instead of Trump.
Trump can pander to immigrants all he wants on the campaign trail, as long as he continues to appoint the right people for the Immigration Czar post.
BS. He’s always been for LEGAL immigration, and has always SAID so.
“That sounds like Mexico was going to pay for the wall. How are you going to get no asset illegals to repay anything at all? They more often as not have no education, compound their crime of entering the US with more crimes, kill and injure Americans, and product anchor babies as quickly as possible to avoid deportation. And almost all end up collecting public services, work illegally or get job permits.”
When the illegals come up short, businesses, their customers and the rich should make up the difference.
Don’t make Jose’s, Maria’s, sus ninos’ problems or education something I have to pay the IRS or the county tax collector for.
Let Trump say Yo amarlos until Jeff Bezos y Zuckerberg scream Basta via the Post and Facebook.
All costs of immigration, migration and asylum should be paid by the persons involved, businesses and rich folks.
President Trump is, as he should be, a consistent proponent of legal immigration.
Bringing in those that have waited in line for years MIGHT get a lot of Conservative votes.
I support Trump now and that is clear. I've support him in the past, and that is equally clear.
But I am not a brainless cheerleader that says yes to everything. Pathetic if you are. I feel sorry for you.
I support Trump and will comment and criticize wherever I think appropriate. We've seen he responds, so it is good.
And before you continue further with ideas of questioning support, consider he made up with Cruz, accepted Vance, and even at the convention and even more so this past week, made up with Haley. Oh, I bet that gives you butthurt. Deal with it.
Give up never trumping
You lost
legally
