Is Pezeshkian the Last Hope for Khamenei’s Regime Amid Rising Protests? With his new cabinet, Pezeshkian has entered a complex political maze, far from the easy days of his candidacy supported by a few reformists. Now, he faces the indifference of old allies and the smiles of new enemies. Energy Crisis in Iran Despite U.S. President Biden easing sanctions and providing the regime with $100 billion to $150 billion in oil revenues, the money has been squandered on repression, warmongering, and corruption. As Pezeshkian’s cabinet forms, it is clear that the treasury is empty, with the regime struggling to pay employees’ salaries.
Additionally, the Oil Minister admitted that Iran is importing 300 million cubic meters of gas daily from Russia. The regime has signed a 30-year contract with Russia, paying 25 cents per cubic meter of gas, totaling $27 billion annually. This is the reality for a country rich in oil and gas, yet its refineries still waste gas through flaring.

Teh ran is kind of wide open?
I mean drop a couple big ones (in loving memory of John McCain) and the problem is mostly solved.
Apparently, the Iranians haven't learned anything from the U.S.
If Iran needs to add money to its economy - all they need to do is print as much it needs and drop the borrowing rate to 0% - or better yet - give their fiat money away. Yes, Iran's national debt will soar from printing fiat currency but take it from us - who cares! Simple fix! /s
Dang..I should have said...speaking of bombs...
Iran needs to embrace the green new deal!
The ayatollah had his JBTs to go door to door confiscating privately owned firearms right after the 1979 revolution so that the government would have absolute power over the people to prevent them from overthrowing him.
Any target there that Israel takes out will be done with American consultation. There would be something in it for us too. Still, it’s better to wait for Trump to take over. Won’t need an all-out skirmish. Can they wait 5 months?

Think about how societies are structured. The West has a highly centralized top-down political control structure. Religion plays almost no role in the West’s leadership. The people thus ruled in the West can be Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, Gaia worshipers or anything on a broad spectrum. They are not held together by any inherent belief.
Now consider Islamic society. Every person had damned well better be a strict adherent or they’ll be killed. Unlike Western society which designates the power to kill to the government, Islamic society designates that power to anyone who feels righteous. (That would scare the digested matter out of me as it’s the least competent who feel righteous.) Now, take out Iran’s religious and political leadership, as they are the same thing in Iran. What’s left is all the survivors are exactly the same as the leadership, so nothing has changed overall except some infrastructure damage and a new set of, now enraged and more fanatical leaders. Bombing Iran’s infrastructure may buy some time, and that’s not nothing, but essentially it changes nothing.
There was a moment of revolution that the US could have supported and that might have made an extreme change in Iran’s behavior. But Obama decided it was better to sit this one out and the revolutionaries all died or went to prison or disappeared into obscurity.
Take out the IRGC HQ building and the Mahdaviat cult schools around Qom and the Iranian people will do the rest.

...make that PAINFULLY killed...
dm to the iranian people
do not have an uprising when a dem is in the WH
You mean like 2009? The Kenyan was in.
So, it’s time to deliver a couple of C-130’s with pallets of fresh printed paper dollars is what you’re saying.
They already have but it's the Islamic version of the "green new deal".
It would be so wonderful to see an uprising that would overthrow islam in Iran, and and make way for the Christianization of that country!
Orthodox Christians know that there are many Persian Orthodox Christian saints!
Lord have Mercy!
Hello
yes, may be those who believe in appeasement policy they are thinking of this notion
Hello
yes uprising is the final answer and after the new government it is escalated, and expanding every day
Hello

Hello
yes you are right, but I think the people of Iran has reached to this point too
