political action committee has filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission against Donald Trump over his recent two-hour live interview with Elon Musk.
End Citizens United, a Democrat-aligned PAC, claims that the interview "amounted to a virtual campaign event" for Trump financed by X, formerly Twitter, which would be in violation of federal law.
The complaint names Trump, his campaign treasurer Bradley T. Crate and X as the respondents.
"Such a brazen corporate contribution undermines the anti-corruption aims of the Act, and the Commission should immediately investigate these violations and take appropriate remedial action," the complaint said, referring to the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971.

What nonsense. If this were X campaigning for him, then CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC, the WaPo, the NYT, USA Today, Time Magazine, etc., etc. are guilty of campaigning for Harris.
We really are getting into authoritarian times where the left and the establishment elites want there to be no speech allowed outside of their control. They own almost all of the corporate media and still are trying to crush any dissenting views.

I think any campaigning done by Trump is considered by the Democrats to be a violation. Whereas every puff piece article or feature about Kamala by the corporate media is considered journalism.

Exactly, in fairness Musk offered the same opportunity to Harris and she refuses to do the show as she knows she can’t talk in a free form place like that for 1 hour mush less 3. Everything has to be totally scripted ahead of time.
She would insist on one hour and all of Musk’s questions be in advance, she would have insist it was taped and she have total editorial control over the final product broadcast.
