Derek Chauvin, fired Minneapolis officer who killed George Floyd, moved to transfer prison facility

Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer serving a long sentence for the murder of George Floyd more than four years ago, has been moved without public explanation from a federal prison in Arizona to a transfer facility in Oklahoma, according to government records.

The U.S. Bureau of Prisons says Chauvin is now housed at its administrative security federal transfer center in Oklahoma City. The bureau’s handbook for the facility describes the Oklahoma City prison as a lockup for inmates that includes “in-transit holdovers and parole violators.”

Bureau spokeswoman Randilee Giamusso said Monday that Chauvin’s transfer occurred Friday, but she declined to disclose the reason for the 48-year-old inmate’s move or whether sending him to another federal facility is being planned.

“For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not discuss the conditions of confinement for any individual, including reasons for transfer,” Giamusso said.

However, Chauvin’s mother said in a social media post over the weekend that his time in Oklahoma City will be short-lived.

George Floyd sold fentanyl before he died!

He was scum!

Derek Chauvin is innocent and should be freed to live in a state other than Minnesota!

Well said! The nation believed a lie. Floyd’s cause of death was given in the toxicology report. In addition to fentanyl and methamphetamine, the toxicology report from the autopsy showed that Floyd also had cannabinoids in his system when he died. Floyd also had heart disease, COVID-19, hypertension and sickle cell trait — a mostly asymptomatic form of the more serious sickle cell disease. The pressure of Derek Chauvin’s knee on Floyd’s neck triggered the avalanche of conditions piled up in Floyd’s body. It was the avalanche of conditions that has been ignored because law is ignorant of his medical condition as a whole.

Well written. I would give a small edit: “/sarc.” But, that would lessen the impact.

Just think! Kamala Harris capitalized on the George Floyd event by bailing out the Black Lives Matter burnings, lootings and killings criminals. Her running mate, Tim Walz, did nothing and let Minneapolis burn and get looted. This how they elevated themselves in the political landscape. It seems like they were playing out a plan to riot America for the 2020 elections; compounding the effect of COVID-19 lock-downs on the economy. They are the Marxist players who are working the 2024 elections. America beware!

Thanks. Every now and then I get inspired by utter nonsense, like making a scumbag look like just a regular guy.

Yes, I get that, it’s just a travesty.

Just declare open season on rioters with no bag limit. I bet it’ll be quiet then.

“Yes. Chauvin is an innocent man. He had no hope of a fair trial in Mn.”

Chauvin was convicted in MN for the same reason Trump was in NY.

To do otherwise would’ve been extremely dangerous for both juries, and they knew it.

Both legally and ethically, chauvin did the right thing. America has the most corrupt legal system in the world. Not one honest judge or prosecutor in any blue state.

Yes. The juries were seriously intimidated in both cases. Grounds for the verdicts being overturned right there.

I Don’t buy that- floyd was c9mplaining about not being able to breathe when the cops first showed up and before they even interacted with him physically. There is video out there proving this. He was already dying. His conditions and massive drug intake were already at work killing him.
