The ADS-B transponder on the plane broadcasts the tail number (registration).
Whether it is physically on the bird or not.
That’s how I track planes from the Exec Stable as opposed to CIA birds.

that's a different issue\solution.
the question and issue being bumped around is: no tail number therefore fake ?
you framed it as such:

and i provided a source for the answer to the AF1 & AF2 birds...
also some tail numbers are on the fuselage some are on the engine cowl if it's a rear engine.
