Embattled Democrat vice presidential nominee Gov. Tim Walz (MN) voted “Yea” on the federal Stolen Valor Act of 2013 during his time as a U.S. congressman.
The vote seems ironic because Walz has been facing accusations of stolen valor, especially after a video surfaced Wednesday of him misrepresenting his military career by falsely claiming he served in war.

Indict him!
Sweet and poetic!
He claimed he carried a weapon in war. Truth is - he was in ITALY.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure we haven't been at war in Italy since the 1940's.
Imprison him...
Penalties for violating the Stolen Valor Act include fines and imprisonment for up to one year, or both. A conviction can also ruin a person’s military career.
As a retired Air Force JAG, I see some of this as coded language. You can say, “I deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom”, but that could mean you went to the AOR but weren’t involved in combat ops, or, as was the case with me during OEF, that you “deployed in place”, meaning that I (a reservist) was activated to my unit (Air Intelligence Agency) as acting Staff Judge Advocate. I never left San Antonio, but I COULD (I don’t) say I was “deployed in support of OEF”. A little like the Freeper who said the Guard Adjutant would have showed up to the retirement and pinned on a LOM if Walz had been retiring as an E-9. Instead, he got an Army Commendation Medal, which is almost a slap in the face to anybody over E-6 or O-3. Reading the code sends a lot of messages.

Ha ha! Thank you!
Walz did indeed deploy. To Italy. Where he “carried a weapon in war”.
But later when it came time to deploy to Iraq with his unit - he turned chicken shit and ran for office instead.
No, thank YOU!
I guess my time in the AF during the Cold War wouldn’t make for good campaign trail stories. Sleeping between rows of KG-13s waiting to get yelled at over the speaker by Tech Control to reset a circuit. Getting zapped by KW-26s during PMs. Having to listen to Colonels’ war stories in the corridors of the Pentagon out on KY-3 PMs while they got coffee for their Generals and how much they hated it there. It was a great job, though.
Hah yes! Good to see I’m not the only one who spotted a similarity. Thanks for making that
.
Excellent ++++
“Embattled Democrat vice presidential nominee Gov. Tim Walz”... Sweet music to Donald Trumps ears.
Also sweet music to the ears of all male Democratic Presidential contenders for 2028... For them the more Kamala crashes and burns in November, the better off they’ll be and Walz appears to be the nail in her political coffin.
btt
His mistake, and is part of the reason why he actually retired as a master sergeant, and not his claims of having been a command sergeant major at retirement. This guy is full of lies and stolen valor. 'The Minnesota National Guard confirmed that Walz retired as a master sergeant “in 2005 for benefit purposes because he did not complete additional coursework at the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy.”'
Did Walz lied? Why yes. Yes he did. His official state bio....
After 24 years in the Army National Guard, Command Sergeant Major Walz retired from the 1-125th Field Artillery Battalion in 2005.

I would say he has no idea what it means but instead I’d say he just doesn’t care. The media protects them. They get away with murder.
Sometimes they “tell the truth” only so far as it goes. I think it is best to come clean with a full disclosure in your own words before someone does it for you in their words. This goes for all who run for office from either side.
