Harris running mate Gov. Tim Walz owns no stocks, bonds or real estate, disclosure shows

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Democratic running mate of Vice President Kamala Harris, owns no stocks, bonds or real estate, according to his most recent financial disclosure.

Walz’s salary as governor of Minnesota is $127,629. He was eligible for a raise last year to $149,550, but he chose not to accept it, according to the state.

If Walz is elected vice president in November, he would make an annual salary of $284,600, based on 2024 rates.

In 2019, after Walz was elected governor, he and his wife sold their Mankato, Minnesota, home and moved into the governor’s mansion. They listed the four-bedroom house for $315,000, after buying it in 1997 for $145,000.

Walz’s modest financial profile stands in stark contrast to that of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, who is a billionaire several times over, and to Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio.

Forbes estimates Vance’s net worth, based on publicly reported investments and cash, to be between $3 million and $10 million.

I would bet real money that he does just that-so easy to do with all those China trips-and so easy to deny-people get so used to seeing something that they don’t really look after awhile...

Oh, so he has a Vanguard account. So he DOES own stocks it’s just through his Vanguard retirement account. That makes more sense.

1999? Being the faculty “advisor” for the high school Gay-Straight “alliance” put him right in the catbird seat didn’t it? THIS is weird.

Bill and Hillary were dead broke until Billary became President. Now they’re wildly rich.

Walz and his wife probably make $125,000 per year from teacher pensions. That’s the equivalent of having well over $2 million in assets.

Actually, in thinking about this, why hasn’t he added this to his illustrious public résume? In 2024 one would think it would be a huge positive with the LGBQT crowd.

I see for Terrible Timmy and his wife:

A quintuple dip, all on the US taxpayer.

This isn't even including their Social Security, which will be quite a tidy sum for the two of them.

What is a shame is that the dude seemed to be really a nice person-my work compadre and I were both clueless as to what he was into until one time he tried to talk us into letting him finance/build a couple of mansions in our names and then split the sale profit-a fraud for sure-neither my friend and his wife or MrT5 and I could have qualified for a multi-million house/estate loan. Because he was a customer, we didn’t want to offend-so pretended we would ask our spouses, then told him sorry, our spouses would not go there and he backed off and never asked again, and was back to the same nice guy. We sometimes talk about how we dodged a bullet then-we would have probably gone to prison for bank fraud if we’d have fallen for that charming scam...

He will get a military pension at 62. But right now they are discussing his current financial situation.

What about cryptocurrency?

Earlier today, I went to Microsoft Bing Copilot and asked the question "leigh finke wearing triangle medallion that says HEX" and it pointed me to the HEX.com cryptocurrency website saying that Leigh Fink frequently promoted that crypto company.

I just repeated that same query and the result now says:

I couldn’t find any specific information about Leigh Finke wearing a triangle medallion that says “HEX.” Leigh Finke is known for her impactful work as the first openly transgender legislator in the Minnesota House of Representatives.

I don't know which answer is true, or if either answer is true.
