I almost ran out of gas traveling through southern Illinois during my trip from Seattle to Florida. My gas needle was near empty and no gas stations to be seen for miles. Finally saw a BP gas station, and prayed it was open and not out of gas. Fortunately it was open and had gas.
Absolutely riveting account!
That flew by me as well.
You have to care for the livestock constantly and therefore cannot both leave.
Yes thanks. I would have gladly paid $10/gallon to avoid spending night in some desolate area on side of road.
When you have livestock, getting a substitute for care is expensive and difficult. One stays home to tend the livestock while the other travels.
There are a lot more dog sitters than cow sitters - and dogs don’t need as much attention on a daily basis.
If you own livestock, vacations are few and far between. Weekends? Late sleeping? NOPE!
LOL!
Nothing to think about if you owned livestock.
Unless you have a hired hand on the property 24/7 you just don’t/can’t leave the place for extended periods.
Animals are an anchor.
“Complication No. 1: The totally predictable stupidity of people. At a gas station, there might be one person who parks their car at a pump and then goes into the convenience store for a bathroom break โ but there are still multiple pumps available.
I had this occur at a gas station recently, a woman fueled her gasoline powered truck at the only available gas/diesel pump. There were at least 5 or 6 other gasoline only pumps available and I sat there in my diesel powered truck waiting for her to finish pumping her gasoline and move out of the way. But instead of moving, she decides that she needs to go inside for several minutes and left her truck sitting there, blocking the diesel pump. When she finally comes out, she looks at me waiting to get fuel and gets into her truck and starts to fiddle with he phone.
The more I know people the more I like my dog.
Difference between city boy and country boy. My family own horses.
The more I know people the more worried I get that they will vote for Kamala.
They don’t understand. Under the New World Order, proles will need special permission to travel anyway. No road trips for the 99%.
Self-absorbed narcissists... Their time and convenience are all they think about.
Electric vehicles the Disposable Razors of Transport
lol. attempted elitist snark.
Sounds like, city boy
You are doing something wrong.
I know my land can support 3 cows
So that is all I ever get.
Yes they need watering but that is automated.
I only give them treats. They have plenty of food.
