Moving at 10mph, Debby will wear out her welcome in Lake City.

Levi has very thoughtful tropical analysis. He’s highly regarded among his peers.

Thanks, NN, you’re the best!

We’re still getting rain and wind in Central Florida- the tail on this storm is never-ending!

I thought you would like it. Looks like it’s going to be a long intense hurricane season - it might come in handy.

I hear Gainesville and Alachua are pretty tired of her too.

the tail on this storm is never-ending!

Tell me about it! We're still getting squalls since yesterday morning. Since last night, however, with each successive squall, we receive a new flash flood warning siren. No rest for the weary here.

Thread 2 probably a good idea for the coming second landfall... the ICON model is back at it: landfall near Oak Island, NC around dawn on Thursday morning as a strong Cat 2 hurricane.

Euro model is slower and weaker (Cat 1), landfalling close to Myrtle Beach at noon on Thursday. The GFS model is clueless.

Thanks for the forecast model updates. When SFWMD dropped their spaghetti model graphics this season, I hot linked to Levi Cowen’s models. Unfortunately, he took them down too. So we are forecast model free for now.

Am watching a railroad webcam in Waycross Ga. The webcam is positioned near CSX’s Rice Yard.

Trains are still moving some (albeit slowly) but the rain is torrential and the wind is heavy.

It’s not overly exciting but if you go to youtube.com and type in Waycross Railcam, you can see what’s going on.

More national Park closings...

Reconstruction Era National Historic Park - Beaufort SC

Moore’s Creek National Battlefield - Currie NC

I suspect as the day goes along, we’ll see more park closures in North Carolina and possibly Virginia.

Well we can take care of that right now thanks to the Tropical Tidbits site (of course the result right now is... sphagetti):
