Four teenagers, initially charged as adults with murder and conspiracy in the beating death of a Rancho High School student, have accepted a plea that will allow them to plead guilty in juvenile court, according to information revealed in a hearing in Clark County District Court Thursday morning.
The teens agreed to the plea that will allow them to plead guilty as juveniles to manslaughter.
Damien Hernandez, Dontral Beaver, Gianni Robinson, Treavion Randolph, all under the age of 18 when the alleged crime was committed, were formally charged with murder in Jan. 2024 in the beating of Jonathan Lewis, 17, on Nov. 1, 2023. Lewis died days after the beating as a result of his injuries.
The beating of Lewis was captured on a video and showed a group of up to 10 teens punching and kicking Lewis in an alleyway near the high school.
Mellisa Ready, Lewis’ mother, said she heard from the Clark County district attorney’s office that the teens were going to plead guilty to murder in the adult court system. She said she was “dumbfounded” by the plea agreement.
“We were able to evaluate all the evidence as a whole and reach this mutually beneficial negotiation. Obviously, what occurred is a tragedy, but convicting these young men of murder would be a second tragedy, following the first.”Robert Draskovich, attorney for defendant Gianni Robinson told 8 News Now.

Apparently it is Caitlin Clark county, whites get screwed
They didn’t want to lock up all those colored boys for killing some white dude
They will kill again..................and again.................and again..................
Matbe we should kill al the lawyers
Moral relativism run amuck
We certainly would not want to inflict the tragedy of prison on murderers after they inflicted the tragedy of death on a boy

Convicting them would not be a tragedy, it would be justice.
Exactly.
Released to do it again.
And they will, knowing they can get away with it.
if the reverse happened, guess what?
And hey will be released again..................and again.................and again.................. until someone adds some bleach.......
our deaths are meaningless....
I’m sure the outcome would be the same if 4 white kids killed a black boy 🙄
Depending on state laws, by pleading guilty in juvenile court, they might be free on their 18th or 21st birthdays. (I worked at a juvenile facility were all inmates had to be released on their 18th birthdays, regardless of crime, including murder)
It would indeed be tragic to see these fine young men punished for ending someone’s life. /s
Is the D.A. up for re-election?
“Obviously, what occurred is a tragedy...”
NO! It was murder, not a tragedy. A tragedy is when a school bus runs off the road and children die.
No attorney for Robinson. A tragedy would be if one of the victim’s relative’s shot gun misfired or jammed after he located Gianni.
What needs to happen is that the Attorney Generals, District Attorneys and Judges that let these pieces of shit out on the street so they can murder more innocent people, is that they should be held criminally responsible alongside the murderers they set free to kill again. They need to be charged with criminal malfeasance and accessories to crimes right along with the people they set free.
Used to be Las Vegas had such men.
The white kid impresses me as to perhaps being a bit sissified; effeminate. But that should not be a green light for bullying and worse. In my youth there were one or two of them around. We gave ‘em a pass, pretty much left ‘em alone, and most outgrew it. Nowadays the fags are just looking for those types to groom and lure them into that lifestyle; if the bullies don’t get them first.
True that. And what’s worse, it sets a bad example for other thugs in the neighborhood. Sometimes I wish it were like in the old days… oh, never mind.
When justice is not found in the system, justice will be found outside the system.
