No one has been fired because the shooter missed, and these are the people you need in place for it to happen again.
“I think you might have seen too many movies; these people are as flawed as any other human being in any other profession.”
Where in that post did I hint that the SS were without flaws, when the whole thrust of what I said was sarcastically pointing to the exact opposite, that they stood down to allow the assassination. That is not just flaws, that is treason.
But you still give them enough credit to even allow for an assassination attempt. (Americans love conspiracy theories because it allows them to ignore the incompetence that is staring them in the face.)
My position is that these people were that incompetent; there is enough everyday experience taking place to support it.
Pretty normal for when a street cop shoots someone allegedly in the line of duty, for that cop to be placed on suspension while the shooting is investigated, then restored fully if shown to have been a ‘good shoot.’ SS hasn’t even done that much.
The real Annie Oakley was competent enough with firearms that world leaders let her shoot cigarettes out of their mouths.
“Americans love conspiracy theories because it allows them to ignore the incompetence that is staring them in the face.”
It is not either/or.
The incompetence is very real—no doubt about it.
But—that does not rule out conspiracy. It actually makes it easier to execute a conspiracy.

“But you still give them enough credit to even allow for an assassination attempt.”
Nobody is that incompetent.
“(Americans love conspiracy theories because it allows them to ignore the incompetence that is staring them in the face.)”
You have your head up your ass. Do you have an intimate relationship with every American to make that statement? Are democrats and the deep state to righteous to conspire, when history reveals that conspiracies happen every day.
“My position is that these people were that incompetent...”
Again, no one is that incompetent, or that incompetent all at the same time.
I’ll bet he drafts a really sternly worded letter.
I worked in Corporate America for over 40 years and people were fired for this kind of incompetence, but not government officials.
This should be reposted daily:
CNN had it's ONLY live broadcast of a Trump rally that day. They were salivating at the opportunity to get Trump's head exploding live on TV. The reporter who got the 'bullet shot' was shooting with extremely fast gear in order to get that shot. He doubtless was disappointed at not getting a head shot as Trump died.
It is obvious that there was foreknowledge. you don't shoot at 1/8000th of a second in that situation unless you know you want to catch a very small segment of time on 'film'.

my thoughts exactly - Rowe’s hostility at the suggestion was appalling. As is a culture that allows no accountability for failure.
Why has no one involved in the Trump shooting been jailed?
Then again, that question only applies in a sane world.
