Khamenei and Pezeshkian Met Ismail Haniyeh Before His Assassination Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was killed in Iran on Wednesday, Hamas and Iran’s e Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) said in separate statements.

The regime’s General Prosecutor has issued a warning to the media about reporting on Ismail Haniyeh’s death. Reports indicate that the prosecutor has limited the spread of information regarding Haniyeh’s assassination in Tehran.

Following Ismail Haniyeh’s death in Tehran, the regime’s General Prosecutor issued a notice prohibiting media and online activists from spreading related news, labeling it as “rumor-mongering.” Government media quoted the prosecutor’s office urging media activists to avoid topics that could “undermine the psychological security” of society.

The government prosecutor also instructed security agencies to monitor social media, the press, and individuals spreading “rumors” or “disturbing the psychological security of society,” to file cases against them, and to refer them to the judiciary.

Coming to America under the "misinformation" czar.

In other words, no reporting of the truth will be allowed.

Typical.

It makes the Iranian government look bad, and Israel look good.

+1 Perfect example.

Its axiomatic that those in power want to stay in power...and they want even more of it so they will do anything to control the flow of information. Its all about control.

It makes me even more suspicious that it was the Iranians themselves that did him in. And blamed Israel of course.

I suspect that he was becoming inconvenient to an Iranian policy of de-escalation.

Iran now knows they are limited to public relations stunts like the 500 drone "attack" on Israel a few months back.

Any SERIOUS attack that kills Israel and Khamenei himself will be vaporized from above within an hour.

This is like when Israel raided the warehouse in Tehran and got the information proving Iran had not stopped work on their nuclear weapons program after the John Kerry Iran deal as Obama insisted they did.
