So Muslims consider Jesus to be a prophet. Well, that’s nice. But Christians are still infidels. And infidels are not high on their “be nice to” list.
Not necessarily. Some Muslims sects view us as “people of the Book”. There is a Book of Mary in the Koran.
John 14:6-9 Jesus saith unto him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?”
If no man cometh unto the Father, but by Him, why would the Father need a prophet in Muhammad 600 years later?
I’ve asked many a Muslim this, and they have no answer except to say Jesus never said this.
I believe Jesus.
The muslims believe it is a mistaken belief that Jesus died and rose again according to the prophecies of the Old testament. They usually don’t defend Christians so my guess is that the gesture was made to split French society. They are pointing out the difference between old Christian France and the new modern French heathens. The muslims are hoping they can force themselves easier into a split society.
IMHO
“So Muslims consider Jesus to be a prophet. Well, that’s nice. But Christians are still infidels. And infidels are not high on their “be nice to” list.”
They’ll bypass the insults and go directly to killing you.
Christians are considered to be Muslims who don’t know it yet and are to be brought to the faith.
