I read the Bible as you read the Bible, and yet?
You seem to have an entirely different understanding of what you are reading than I?
How can that be?
Take works for example. The Bible clearly explains that members of the Christian faith will be judged by their works.
Not so in the Christian world of today.
The Bible clearly explains the nature of God. His beloved Son, and the Holy Spirit as one God.
Lost completely in the Reformation.
As well as unity of the faith.
How many Baptisms are mentioned in scripture?
Much less that absolute necessity of the correct one by those in authority.
...and speaking of authority that was always by voice of the Prophets and Apostles. Where did that run off?
Those are a part of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and no amount of man made preaching is going to eliminate them from the Lord’s plan for his children.
Can’t ypou merely place the applicable scriptures here in the thread, instead of wandering all over the place with five more questions?
Like THIS?
1 Corinthians 1:15-17
15 ...so no one can say that you were baptized into my name.
16 Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that I do not remember if I baptized anyone else.
17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with words of wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.
...and speaking of authority that was always* by voice of the Prophets and Apostles. Where did that run off?
* show it, just don't claim it.
