Neither does Crooks's position being just on the edge of obscuration, such that he was unable to be seen by the more northerly counter-sniper team "just happen." How would Crooks have known where not to be without being in on USSS plans?
That the more southerly counter-sniper team was covering essentially the very same compass section (230 degrees to 300 degrees) as the northerly counter-sniper team, a mere 50 yards distant, makes zero sense, planning-wise, except that it would be the more southerly team on which it would take out Crooks. Thomas probably didn't fully appreciate that the other team would barely have to move a muscle to pan over to plant a kill shot above his left eye.
The northerly c-s team shooter seemed to jump out of his skin as the first round was fired. How absolutely uncharacteristic of professional sniper! Especially so, as no bullet came whizzing past that shooter's ear.
Without citing evidence, it is a dishonest statement.If spent rounds were recovered and a diagram of where they were found, it should be easy to chart the trajectory from the shooters position. And the lab examination can state whether it was splintered. Wray must be a lawyer and not an investigator.

I don't think it was Crooks's shot. There is a video of Crooks staying completely motionless in the first couple of seconds after the first shot. The camera would have seen the recoil from the first shot if it was Crooks that had taken it. The first three shots very likely came from through the open, second floor window, behind and to the right of Crooks as he lay prone.
The would-be assassin cabal knew that in the early part of his speech, PDJT would be repeatedly referring the crowd toward the jumbotron. From that information, they could have inferred PDJT's head direction. But for they head-turn, they did well with that considered planning.
It was that God-guided twitch of his head that turned the back of his head away from the bullet's path, probably just a few of milliseconds after the shooter squeezed off a round.
Three tenths of a second later, PDJT's head left only his ear to be seen by the bullet.

I saw Wray go behind the dais to shake hands with Jordan and the minority member right before the hearing started on Tuesday. He had his smug and arrogant “used car dealer” smile plastered on as he did so. He thinks he’s untouchable and superior to the rest of us. I can’t wait for him to be brought down.
