Operatives at the very highest levels of the Democratic Party threatened Joe Biden with forcibly removing him from office unless he stepped down, sources told The Post.
The well-orchestrated “palace coup” to stop the faltering president seeking re-election has been in place for weeks, but stubborn Biden fought against it every step of the way, according to the sources.

During the car crash 90-minute debate, Biden appeared confused, slack-jawed and at one point he froze up, with his shocking performance turning the tide against him.
Biden is said to have stubbornly fought against the recent calls for him to step down until his shock announcement on Sunday that he will not seek re-election
Although Biden immediately endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidate for president, the source said Democratic delegates will be strongly encouraged to instead back Arizona senator and former astronaut Mark Kelly for president at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in August.

Getting rid of Biden is a plus for democrats
I don’t get the timing - why all of a sudden at this late stage did they decide that no wonder wanted him. We were calling him the dementia patient 4 years ago, his cognitive decline is nothing new.

Also, the ability of the Dems to swap out their nominee was one of the concerns some of us had when Trump agreed to the very odd June date for the debate. The deep state plays good chess.
Uh....a typewritten, digitally signed letter (not on WH stationary and thus far not verified by a President Biden, on camera, etc.) DID NOT ENDORSE HER; it only 'thanked' her for being on the team. The SECOND missive (an X tweet) haphazardly 'corrected' the first oversight.
Regardless, Covid or not, isolation or not it is unprecedented that such an announcement isn't immediately and convincingly verified by actual Presidential verbal/visual explanation.
I honestly think they thought if they put in so many absurd restrictions on the debate, such as no audience, no visual aids like charts or graphs, A Democrat, friendly media outlet, etc. Trump would chicken out and refused to debate and they could keep the puppet in longer.
They probably figured Trump, if he couldn’t have an audience to impress in front of him, wouldn’t want to do it, yet, he took their debate and agreed to every single rule. Then, he played alone by their rules, and simply stood by and watched as buying publicly self-destructed. At that point, they had to rethink every plan, and this was the result
I tend to agree as well. They didn’t think Trump would agree to the ridiculous debate terms. I think they are really trying to usually no audience thing to make him back out as they know he likes the adore crowds. As you said, he called their bluff And just stood there and watched him self-destruct and let him do it
I agree. The smart ones don’t want to touch this disaster that they can see with a 20 foot pole. They know, deep down, the economy is not doing good, that Biden has been a terrible ineffective leader. They want the title, but they’re not dumb enough to stick their neck out there now And will wait for the next cycle when they think they have a much better chance with a new slate of candidates for both parties
Mark Kelly? That’s the first time I’ve heard him mentioned as a possible candidate for President.
I presume if he gets nominated, they’d be basing their campaign on gun control.
Even if he’s in a hospital bed, a live video with press present in masks if need be is the way you demonstrate this was his decision. What is going on now is communist party type crap.

People are furious that tried to play their debate dilemma a little to cute and their bluff backfired when it painted JoJo into a corner and forced him to actually debate Trump.
If you remember back, everyone was saying that Trump had made a huge mistake accepting these debate conditions and that he was going to get eaten alive by the mods

The left had planned to take out Trump so Biden was going to be unopposed. Until the Democrats failed again. If Trump was gone the debate wouldn’t matter. The media would fix that.
He’s not facing Biden. Without that debate, he’d be debating Biden in September when it’s too late for the democrats to recover.

I wouldn't know for sure. But Joe may be somewhat functional 6 months ago. But he's getting worse now. That's the nature of his illness. He's declining really rapidly. So the drugs are no longer working.
His handlers thought that they could get by with the debate in June. Joe survives. He'll do better in the polls. All of a sudden, he's back in the game so they can pull off the fraud again.
