So, there is no controlling authority on ‘Natural Born Citizenship. Unless you consider that no one has standing to be controlling authority.

It should also be mentioned that ‘Standing’ is no where in the constitution and has no appearance in US law before 1922 Fairchild v. Hughes .

It seems strange that no Judge before Louis Brandeis ever thought of this very useful tool to dodge too hot to handle cases.

What meaning does it really have in today’s world?

It seems possible to me that a born citizen whose parents were not citizens at the time of his birth, could be just as patriotic and admirable a candidate as one whose parents were citizens.

Conversely, being born here of citizen parents doesn’t in any way guarantee that a candidate would be ideologically pro-American and free of some foreign influences and loyalties.

The world is very different now.
