Elon Musk says CrowdStrike 'deleted from all our systems'

Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk posted X earlier Friday that CrowdStrike (NASDAQ:CRWD) has been “deleted from all our systems, so no rollouts at all.”

However, according to several sources cited by Business Insider, Tesla (TSLA) sent some of its employees working the night shift at its Austin, Texas and Sparks, Nevada factories home early after the outage resulted in error messages on some of the facilities' machinery.

The carmaker sent its staff a notice early Friday morning that its systems had been impacted by a "Windows Host Outage" across its IT platform.

A glitch caused by an update of CrowdStrike’s (CRWD) cybersecurity platform Falcon Sensor triggered a major global outage for many Microsoft (MSFT) cloud services, impacting multiple industry sectors. Services were interrupted across airlines, banks, hospitals, and broadcast media.

My all-time favorite microsoft error originated back in the DOS days:

"File exists or file not found"

Really? Either the file exists or it doesn't? Well, Thanks Bill!

What was their "update" supposed to do? Erase specific records made between specific people over a specific date range on any Windows computer or server that might have such records? Then erase itself - but instead it disabled the computer it was put on? Oops.

I hope someone is decompiling the "update" to figure out it's inner workings.
