The shot that killed the man who attempted to assassinate former President Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, last Saturday was a "one-in-a-million shot," according to a source familiar with the investigation into the shooting.
Fox News learned from the source the kill shot was a single shot taken by a Secret Service counter sniper whose view was obscured.
A local tactical team also took a shot at the would-be assassin, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, but missed.

Going by memory here, but I THINK he said those who say the Counter Sniper Team could not fire until the sniper fired first are full of sh!t. Somebody in the know said that a few days ago.
There were two groups of two snipers. The closer pair was partially blocked by a tree. The other, further pair, was not.
“20 year old assassin turns around and aims his gun at a police officer climbing onto the roof, then the assassin turns around toward Trump, re-acquires his target, calms himself, gets his breathing under control, and fires off three rounds.”
And misses
Could you clarify where you think the two groups were? We know where one group was.... there’s been plenty of pictures and videos of them.

They were in a similar position on each of the north and south buildings behind the grandstand (there are three buildings immediately behind the grandstand). They are both visible on some of the videos.
The ones on the north building are blocked by the tree from seeing almost half the building the shooter was on. The ones on the south building had visibility to that area.
Maybe that’s why one of the counter snipers took his eye off his scope briefly to have a naked eye view.

The Crooks-edited-out vid was dated two MONTHS ago???!!!???
Planned, premeditated, and patsi-fied.
Not that difficult a shot. I have a .308 rifle heavy contour 22” fire lapped barrel that all day long shoots 0.5 MOA and on a windless day often through the same hole at 100 meters, a 1” group at 200 meters, and a 3” group at 400 meters.
Yards.
A meter is a yard!
I think a meter is larger than a yard, but close.
1 yard = 1.09 meters. Negligable in common shoo-in terms. 1 MOA is 1” or one minute of angle at 100 yards. Most rifle scope manufacturers interchange both terms even though they are slightly different.
Just guessing but at that distance it’s about a 40 or 50 foot difference. So yes, a yard is smaller than a meter.
.
Anyone remember that in the beginning they reported (from sources) that the building was much further away from Trump?
They’ve put out so much crap.
Since his face is what the counter sniper needed to hit, seeing the rest of him was extraneous.

Wasn’t a scope. It was a non magnifying red-dot.

“I was just going by the fact that early on they said he didn’t have a scope. Range finder, yes. Scope, No”
That tmz photo that made the rounds of the punk taking aim sure doesn’t appear to have a scope. Certainly not a traditional scope, maybe there is some newer low profile model I’m not familiar with?
one-in-a-million shot,” according to a source familiar with the investigation into the shooting.
Narrative they want you to believe, heard they didn’t shoot at all
