He was such a bad shot that he couldn’t make the high school rifle team. The deep state would have chosen someone who was certain to make the shot. Therefore, not a deep state operation.
The Army's sniper course (for example) is 29 days.
When was this guys rifle team tryout? Freshman year? Senior year?
Would ~2 to 6+ years be enough time for him to be trained properly (by a 3 letter agency for example)?
Not saying that's definitely what happened, only saying that scenario seems possible.

And, are we certain Crooks was the only bad guy taking a shot? There are multiple eyewitnesses who mentioned the water tower as being involved in what happened. Are those people crazy? Perhaps they mis-saw or mis-heard something? Maybe. Maybe not.
If we are to put our faith and trust into the official narrative, who are we trusting for this quick determination?
The fbi, that came out shortly after the crowd dispersed and said he was a lone wolf before gaining access to either of his phones, or his overseas accounts? Wait, overseas accounts? Three of em? The fbi, that I know of, hasn't even given a press conference on this shooting, yet we've heard that they (allegedly) said he basically had no social media presence and that the only search history they've mentioned so far was a search for porn that day. How did he know how to make the (allegedly) explosive devices? Someone train him? Borrow a book from the local library? Were they crude and totally inert?
How about the ss? The roof was too sloped? We don't have enough staff? That building was local PD's to secure, not ours?
Or, how about the legacy media? Well, this one is self-evident, I believe.
As has been said many times before regarding just this tragedy, something isn't right with the current official narrative.
