Questions have been raised about why drones were not deployed on the day a gunman shot at former President Donald Trump.
On July 13, a gunman, identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, opened fire from a rooftop near where Trump was speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. He killed one rallygoer and seriously wounded two others before being shot dead by the Secret Service.
Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, sustained an injury to his right ear, and made a triumphant appearance at the Republican National Convention days later with a bandage over his wound.
Since the shooting, multiple investigations have been launched—into the crime and how a shooter was able to get so close to the former president. There have been questions about missteps by the Secret Service and growing calls for the agency's director, Kimberly Cheatle, to resign after the attempt on Trump's life. She has said she will not.

At every opportunity they downplay President Trump being shot in the ear, instead they use the word “injury”.
Feels like all the security protocols were different that day. What a mystery this is.

Further, it provided a clear view of the president and, in fact, the area ti the highway and beyond in the west

In small areas they can be disabled by jamming the signals used to control them. You cannot do that on a wide battlefield.
Just what does the Secret Service do to protect Trump or Biden from drone attack while exposed outside of the White House? Pray.
Surely they’d deploy electronic jamming of the sort to disable, or at least confuse, a standard drone.
A hardened military deone? Idk but there may be little defense they can provide for Trump out and about in the Beast or in Marine One.
Makes me shudder to think about it.
My local PD used drones at the local 4th of July event and has for several years now.
I thought the use of drones would be common practice now for security… But also could be a no fly zone in case of hackers. We really know nothing as far as what actually happened.
The CIA/FBI style of guiding and coachinog a useful idiot isn’t the only way this could have been done. Decreasing security at each event and hoping someone takes a shot is the other possibility. It has the advantage of letting the Secret Service claim incompetence.
So where did the drone come from after the shooting. There is drone footage of the shooter dead on the roof.
