What about the past registrations not done with citizenship proof?
I would think that ruling allows them to check for IS at the polling station as well.
Anybody registering for an AZ state driver's license has the opportunity to register to vote on the application. No one at MVD is required to verify citizenship, just residence in the state.
Sigh. They’re not going to start from scratch. Just be happy there is a change going forward.
My thoughts exactly! We need to totally wipe out the voter registration roles and everyone has to reregister and show proof of citizenship. For this election, they have to bring a birth certificate or naturalization papers.
Does one need to provide a birth certificate when registering to vote in Arizona now? How does a citizen prove he’s a citizen in America today? This has never come up except in very limited cases.
