BREAKING: Per @MarkHalperin , Biden will announce his withdrawal as soon as Sunday, followed by an OPEN Democrat convention between Kamala and three or more rivals. Biden will NOT endorse his VP and will NOT resign the presidency.

At this point it would not surprise me if they are just trying to lure Biden out in the open so Deep State assassins could take a shot.
I think Biden’s not endorsing anyone else because he’s expecting the delegates to vote HIM in
Johnson quit the race early enough in the primaries for Humphrey to go on and get the nomination. This is uncharted territory politically.

How many primaries did Humphrey win?
Zero.
1968 was totally crazy.
People forget.
There were only about 12 primaries in 1968, the rest of the states had conventions or a caucus. Mass state primaries started coming later in the 1970’s. Humphrey had the backing on the party insiders much like Nixon had with the GOP.
