Hey are you an Alaskan? I am a former Alaskan (32 years) who retired and moved to Florida, and I already knew what Qiviut was, having seen many musk ox both at LARs and on the Seward Peninsula around Nome where I spent a lot of work time.
Of course we vote for electors, but as far as I know, and I could be wrong, a valid candidate has to be on the ballot.

Yeah, although Pete was such a disaster at transportation, I do see him as one of the top possibilities as VP on the Harris ticket. He checks another box for them, and would make it an “ultra historic” ticket: First black female president/first openly gay man VP. That’s the ticket..

Would it be better for Biden to resign the presidency and allow Harris to run as the incumbent, or would that be too distracting at the stretch run of a campaign? Harris would probably push for it, but I think she has little leverage at this point.
It would probably be best if Biden just disengaged from the public, but I don't think his ego, or that of his handlers will allow that. Expect him to be a big distraction, and a problem. He truly is an albatross around the neck of the Democrat Party.

The dems would not be clamoring for Biden to drop out if they believed that little Trump +2 lead.
Another name mentioned on another thread - Gov. of PA, Josh Shapiro. If he would agree, he would be a great pick for the Dems ... he would be to Kamala what Pence was to Trump in 2016. People were so worried about Trump - no governmental experience, Pence experienced, solid, calm, etc. Pence calmed a lot of nerves ... Shapiro would do the same. Shapiro would also then be set up to run in 2028 if the Dem ticket would win ... former governor, etc.
