And if he takes a turn for the worse due to the covid, say in October. The left pulls out all the stops...

The only really important thing about polls is what their previous ones read.

It doesn’t matter what their sample is. What matters is if there is any indication that sample is changing within it over time.

Reuters/Ipsos 2 days ago read T+2. In late May it read tie.

So after the debate and after the gunshot, only 2% moved.

This is not enough to compel anyone dropping out, especially with Biden yet to have a convention bounce.

People don’t care about Biden. They hate or love Trump.

But he is not and never has been Good Ol’ Joe. He’s a mean venal mendacious partisan hack and he’s not even very smart.

“This is not enough to compel anyone dropping out, especially with Biden yet to have a convention bounce.”

Not enough to compel...?

Then you should contact all the democrat head hogs and comfort them. A two point lead is within the margin of error, so you should ask them why they are panicking and trying to shove Biden out.

They are panicking because they know the polls, the published ones, are crap. The real polls they keep to themselves and they are the ones who have them terrified.

I understand you are looking at trends—apples to apples.

That is reasonable.

Most folks have made up their minds—and current events are not going to change a lot of votes.

The Deep State wants Biden gone because they think he is a senile clown who is so senile he can no longer be controlled.

They are asking him nicely.

Then they will show him videos of Butler PA.

If he still does not get the message they will remove him—in a box.

The clamor to move him out is intended to build the imagery of steadfast courage and commitment to public service.

2020 was Biden +4.5. T+2 is a big change for sure, but there is no imaginable way to recover 4.5 for anyone.

They are doing this right. Build him up as a figure of courage. Praise him non stop at their convention.

There just isn’t enough there for him to quit. Reagan was +18 vs Mondale who actually got 1 state. Nobody demanded that Mondale back out and the polls for him were far worse.

The Dems are playing this right.

If Kamala is at the top of the ticket, I doubt too many folks with presidential or even political aspirations care to be associated with her ... maybe Willie Brown would help her out? /s

You are stuck in two dimensional thinking in a four dimensional world.

The fourth dimension is time.

Time is the enemy of dementia.

What stupid poll would that be? I’ve read the opposite.

Some of the old time political theorists argued that governments were just large and well organized criminal gangs—with propaganda arms. They did “protection” and “extortion” and murder when necessary.

Once you get that “what comes next” is a bit easier to spot.

Polls are not static. Democrats are getting desperate to replace Biden given Trump's surge....so even Kamala looks better to them.

"This race is far from over."

True, OP, but I'm not the one who asserted Trump need only flip GA and PA.

This race doesn't set up like 2020 anyway, but more like 2016 on steroids.

We can concede PA (who won't report for 100 hours, which gives TrumpII-elect enough time to put Shapiro in chains and frog-march him, before Pennsyltucky does turn in their fraud the next Saturday) and easily bring back GA and AZ, and add VA/NV/MI, and it will all be over by 11pmET.

Your map shows CA with 55 electors.

Thanks to liberal democrat dominance, we're down to 54 electors.

It may indeed be a nail biter, but you have to use the right year's electoral college map!
