Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Thursday predicted Democrats will force President Biden to withdraw from the 2024 race and will nominate Vice President Harris or former first lady Michelle Obama to replace him at the top of the party’s ticket.
“I put the odds at about 80 percent [Democrats] dump [Biden], and if and when they dump him, I think their replacement nominee will be one of two people — it will either be Michelle Obama or it will be Kamala Harris,” Cruz said in an interview on Fox Business.
Recent polling has suggested Harris and Obama may each have a slight lead against Trump, further fueling speculation about their viability as potential candidates.
Other Democrats floated as potential replacements have included California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
Ten House Democrats have publicly called on Biden to drop out, while Sen. Peter Welch (D-Vt.) became the first Democratic senator to make the same call Wednesday night.

Whoever it is, you can bet they’ve already written all her speeches for her, and have everything all lined up and ready to go. If they can get her to agree to be the nominee, they’ll probably choose Michelle over Kamala. That way, it will still be a black woman, so the black caucus won’t have anything to gripe about. But she has repeatedly said she will not run, so we’ll see; we’ve heard that refrain before.

I lean towards she won’t only because she will lose her freedom to do as she pleases. We are all getting older and her position in life is already enviable. Why mess that up? She doesn’t appear to be the one who wants to climb the ladder. Her hubby was and she prefers IMHO to want to be hoisted up on a cushion after someone else has done all the legwork.

What’s the necessity? Biden’s problems and poll numbers make their steal obvious. Switching it up will allow them to steal the election and say that voters were enthusiastic with the new choice… even if they nominate a ham sandwich.
