Well, since I've been predicting (no proof of course, just my guess) that the Dems have the bait-and-switch in place, it's a situation that I do hope the GOPers have been planning for.

Why would the Dems do this? Again, guessing, but it would remove the Dem voters from selecting the nom(s), keeping the elites in power and control. Also, the selectee would have little public exposure time for serious inquiry as to any potential flaws, for example, no primary debates.

If my guess turns out to be the case, a whole lotta peeps, including Dem voters, just got fooled.

What he seems to be saying is, if he was diagnosed with a medical condition, he would consider....BUT

He also says he was always going to be a transitional candidate and he would pass this on to someone else, BUT that since the country is so divided, and he has the age/wisdom to "get things done"

Whatever "get things done" means.

I think he’s done and Trump and the GOP had better start planning for a different adversary. Knowing the Dems, it will be Trump who has to deal with accusations of being too old for the job. It will be the Dems touting a new younger face of the party. I know Trump’s people can deal with this but planning for several possible opponents should start today, if it hasn’t already.
