“The Trump GOP is no longer the party of Lincoln, Reagan or the Constitution,” Liz Cheney, the defeated leader of the GOP’s neoconservative faction in the House, lamented Tuesday.
Cheney’s complaint was posted on X – formerly known as Twitter – after President Donald Trump picked reformist Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) as his 2024 running mate.

Cheney’s lamentationt focused on Vance’s opposition to her style of aggressive foreign policy, dubbed neo-conservatism. The policy has brought the United States into a proxy war over Ukraine with Russia and its ally, China.
Bill Kristol, another neoconservative and Never Trump advocate, posted the same neoconservative criticism of Vance:

Lizzie is one of those Republicans who never wants or understands change. If a party doesn’t make changes as it grows and seeks to win, they’ve already lost. That’s why we have RINOs and MAGA. That’s how we got Joe Biden. RINOs only look back and think the old way is the only way. MAGA looks to the future and see what is possible.
Lizzy and Zinger were both rinos appointed to the committee by Nanc to cover a$$. Nanc refused twice to allow extra security to protect the Capitol Bldg. Nanc even had her own agitators on site; Ray Epps, et. al encouraging protesters to storm the Capitol Bldg. She must have paid all of their expenses because Epps claims to be broke and someone paid his other agitators expenses also. Maybe Nanc should have spent time in lockup.
With people like Lizard-breath and Romney slamming Vance, I’m convinced that Trump made a good choice.

What mostly upsets these folks has nothing to do with policy.
Vance has no political background prior to taking his Senate seat, just last year.
HE IS NOT SWAMP.
Trump is hugely focused on the Swamp. He picked a VP who has not been co-opted. The elites know it.
Populism is ascendant. Governance ran up $36T of debt. It has failed. There is nothing admirable about the people who did that — and make no mistake, it is both parties.
If I were to put on a tin foil hat, Biden has made some creepy statements publicly about President Trump that would make me wonder what was said to him or around him. His queer laugh and just watch statement, The bullseye statement and directly before the PA rally the statement about Trump having big problems he wasn’t expecting (paraphrasing).

We now know a lot of details about the JFK assassination plotters.
There were a couple of chatterboxes (like David Ferrie) who were themselves quickly executed—but most of the players had an intelligence background and knew how to keep their mouths shut.
I saw McCarthy was at the Convention. Was Mitt or Liz? How about Adam? They are all such wonderful patriotic Republicans shouldn’t they be there unifying supporting their Party’s Nominee?
Agreed—My read is that at some military or intelligence briefing Biden starting ripping incoherently into President Trump and one of the participants slipped up and said something like “Relax, sir, we have got this”.
It's not easy, Twitter was a well known and accepted brand for the platform. Possibly the best know brand of a under 20 year old company.
Vance must be a good choice. I can’t imagine a better endorsement.
