Do you agree with Home Depot’s decision to fire this woman for what she said about Trump?
(Excerpt) Read more at x.com ...
yes
She is cheering for murder. Yes any normal business would fire her.
“Never use real accounts on the internet especially with video accounts....nor use personal information...when posting controversial comments.”
This does absolutely no good anymore if the domain is hosted by third party hosting like the FR is now. Or if you have ever emailed the domain for registration purposes Etc. They can find each and everyone of us directly through the third party hosting data by backtracking to our local internet access or communications carrier data. If we are paying for a local internet access service they can identify us by name, address, credit card number, Etc through our access account.
Are services sharing these with the government? You bet, they are even selling this data to the government. Getting rid of Net Neutrality made sure they can now legally do this.
The only way to prevent or reduce this situation to safe guard users is to not allow general public viewing and have a very good terms of use contract that legally restricts use of internal content outside of the domain. A second positive side effect is removing the ability for moles and government trolls to use “open to the public anyhow” as plausible deniability. When they are legally bound not to share content or evidence outside a private domain that nonsense will stop.
Good for Home Depot.
“In our divided culture of today Home Depot has got to be careful who they tick off or they will lose a portion of their customer base.”
True, but in this case, they’ll only lose the ‘Interior Designer’ portion of their customer base. However, most Interior Designers go to Lowes anyway, as they are far more friendly to that ‘lifestyle’.
yes!
Yeah, makes sense. Democrats eventually tie themselves in knots like with the ‘red flag’ initiative. Sooo, THD probably saw themselves at least partially liable & as a private company the associate are bond by SOPs with terms of service. So THD has just cause to fire her. IMHO
She should have thought about it before she made it public.
She has the right to say it but that doesn’t mean she has no consequences to her stupid remarks.
The government is not jailing her for saying it but that doesn’t mean that fellow people or her employer can’t react to her remarks.
She looks rather stupid so not thinking is probably usual with her.
After watching the video, I feel bad for this woman. Yeah, she was an idiot for posting the comment. But she clearly appears to be the type of person that probably posts “blither” that just enters her brain without any filters.
The problem is with the person shooting the video. Home Depot doesn’t want that garbage happening in their stores while people are trying to do business. That is why she was fired—that crap was not going to stop. And, we know that the Maoist’s are going to get more violent.
This is Maoist Cultural Revolution bull crap. Until the masses rise up and put an end to this, free speech will be crushed.
I have always said the fbi has files on all the FReepers.
Its why I waited ten years to join.
By then I knew I had my own file from the T-party rallys.
Her mistake was in announcing to the world that she’s a Home Depot employee. With that statement, it made it look like she was a company spokesman.
Instead, she should have said on Facebook that she was a filthy democrat lesbian (is there any other kind?) who hates Trump.
Should have kept her employer out of it unless she works for MSNBC.
I agree with you .
But Politically Correct speech has become the sledgehammer for HR to quell and withhold our free speech as guaranteed by the Constitution.
If you are on US soil, you should not have ANY of your rights (natural or civil) infringed.
In these days of cancel culture that works against conservatives, the only way to stop it is to give them a big dose of their own bitter medicine, so in this light, yes indeed!
She posted a comment on facebook that the shooter should have been a better shot.
Like the shooter, she is not getting a do-over. She is a pathetic sight, but no employer can afford to be associated with a sentiment like that.
Yeah, works for me
:: There’s no such thing as “free speech” in a work place. ::
True that.
But if she posted it on her Facebook page (not HD’s) and on her own time while sitting at home, she does enjoy free speech as a natural right.
All must kneel before the mighty HR chicks!
Well...no, not if she’s as competent as the mummy in the White House. But stupid can be costly. She does not appear to be a high-functioning adult.
Well, that’s doxxing right there.
And I object to the doxxer saying, “I’m a veteran, what have you contributed to this country?” That’s devaluation of the working class, reducing her to a deplorable.
Her post was despicable. And stupid.
No
I ‘m sick of cancel culture
Feel bad for her? What do you think would happen if she said the notorious “N” word? Bitch wishes an innocent man killed.
