It emerged on Tuesday that the killer penetrated the security area of the rally a full three hours before carrying out his attack, after driving the 50 miles north from his home in Bethel Park on the southern outskirts of Pittsburgh.
At 3pm he triggered a metal detector as he tried to gain access to the site, and was found to be carrying a rangefinder – a gun sight typically used by hunters and marksmen preparing to shoot at distance.
But security officers allowed him in while keeping an eye on him until he left the secure area a short time later, the official said.
He then fell off the radar until shortly before 5.45pm when an officer with the Beaver County Police Department saw him acting suspiciously near the outer perimeter and took a photograph.

That is low one story building. The five foot ladder could have been used to get him high enough to pull himself up the rest of the way.
“Standing on top of a 5 foot step ladder would easily allow a fit young man to place his backpack and rifle on the roof and then pull himself up onto the roof.”
That roof is at a minimum 12 foot high. No way.
He was on the roof of the building used as a gathering place for LEO
SWAT and Police in the building

How did he know he needed a ladder? Did the shooter scope out the area and plan the attack? If no, who planned the attack?

Thanks for the link . Their theory about the shooting at about the 6 minute mark makes sense. Barnes speculates that the shot came from inside the building from the counter sniper team and Crooks is the patsy.

2100 is unrealistically optimistic. First...likely the “investigation” report is already written. It will be “released “ never. National security don’t you know. Move along, citizen...there’s nothing to see.
Yes, it’s obvious. But they sent a rank amateur shooter. And lots of people had to be in on the plan. I still have a hard time believing they could recruit everybody right down to the guard who let him in with a rangefinder.
Congress better hire their own independent forensics investigators and keep it out of the FBI, CIA, DS, etc. Even now those bastards are shutting down access to communication logs…probably wiping all evidence.
A thought just occurred to me. Maybe they sent in an expendable amateur shooter knowing the chances of killing Trump were not high. But the whole thing was intended to send a powerful message “Do not mess with us. Look what we can do.” If, by chance, the shooter succeeded, then that is good for the plotters.
Corruption and down-ranks demoralization amounts, deliberately, to a “greasing of the skids” for this kind of event, seemingly borne of chaos, but really not.

I agree Congress needs to investigate and bring in real analysts, not congressmen doing their peacocking for the cameras. Start with the local cops and witnesses. Then go from lowest to highest ranked SS agents.
Within a month of his inauguration in 2017, I posted here, and ever since, they will not let Trump have a second term. People like to pretend they live in a country they can idealize. They have no clue what they are up against. Even Trump who was at the top is a very slow learner.
My guess that on their gameplan, in motion, is black ops communication with North Korea, China and Iran or similar for an October strike. Trump being in the detonation zone.
