That would be like Congress blocking the passage a proposed amendment to repeal the 17th amendment.

Sotomayor is allegedly in poor health so her term may end in the near future. As for the “ new justice” perhaps there should be a minimum IQ limit.

I definitely think tightening up some ethics wouldn’t hurt. They are paid well for 9 months of work. I’d say they should be under the same 10 dollar gift max as the rest of the federal government. No trips, no staying at homes, no paintings, ect. Definitely no foreign travel or gifts.
