Can’t blame the father for this.As a professional, ignoring his kid's issues deserves some level of blame.

Sometimes people can’t do anything about their kids even if they’re aware of issues; and this one apparently had a clean record and was years past the age of majority.

I have no training in dealing with the mentally disturbed.
But I do read a lot and had a brother who was a real problem.
In many studies of mental cases, you will se a reference to the subject’s cleverness at hiding his actiona as well as his beliefs.
Knowing his parents to be aware of symptoms, he would be very careful to hide his true character.

As a professional, ignoring his kid's issues deserves some level of blame. Obviously you are a fellow professional, what were the kid's issues?

As a post script, what amazes me is the number of so called lawyers, doctors, psychologists, LEO's, veterinarians, animal trainers, all who claim to have the answers to any particular tragic thread that is posted on this site. I would also add mind readers........
The rest of us are truly blessed to be in their presence.........LOL!
