Tenacious D singer Kyle Gass has been dropped by his talent agency following his tasteless comments about the assassination attempt on former president Donald Trump.

The 64-year-old expressed his wish that Trump's would-be assassin hadn't missed during the band's show in Sydney on Sunday.

Fellow member Jack Black brought a birthday cake for him and asked him to make a wish and he replied: 'Don’t miss Trump next time.'

I saw an earlier article in which Jack Black claimed he was blindsided by the statement from Gass.

He received a torrent of angry texts and emails and he canceled all the remaining concerts they had planned for Australia.

He made a statement that he doesn't condone violence and he is against Gass's statement.
