Maxwell Yearick, who was sentenced to prison over an altercation with police officers at a Donald Trump rally in 2016, has been misidentified online as the shooter in the assassination attempt of the former president in July 2024.
Shots were fired during Trump’s campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, injuring his upper right ear. One rally attendee was killed and two others were wounded.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has identified 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, as the suspect in the attempted assassination of the Republican presidential candidate. Crooks was shot dead by law enforcement after firing at least five shots, opens new tab. A 2020 high school yearbook photo of Crooks can be seen in reports by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
A photo of a different man and the false narrative that Maxwell Yearick, not Crooks, was the shooter have been shared widely online.
One of the posts sharing the photo states, “The shooter, initially misidentified, has now been confirmed as Maxwell Yearick, a 30-year-old left-wing extremist from Perry South. Yearick, who voted for Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden, had a history of violent protests and clashes with law enforcement.”
However, the image does not resemble Crooks.
The photograph was published by the Pittsburgh-based TV station WTAE in an April 2016 report about Donald Trump’s first Pittsburgh campaign rally for his 2016 presidential campaign.

Perhaps there was more than one person involved? How the heck did someone walk up with that tall ladder to a building 100 or so yards from a once and possibly future POTUS and fire half a dozen shots?
How'd Crook get the rifle to the scene? Tell people it was curtain rods?
Lots of questions remain.

So you are saying Crooks parents are in on it? They have their son safe and squirreled away somewhere?
Something really stinks from here to high hell about the stories we’ve been getting about this.
For example, anyone notice that the shooter was taken out only AFTER he shot Trump and Trump went down?? Why not before the second they saw him, especially when people were screaming at the cops and SS about him?
People who knew the shooter said he was a terrible shot. So how was he able to hit Trump from a football field and a half away?
Ask yourself, how difficult would it be to find some kid with low self esteem and convince him to do this and train him to do this? “You’ll be a hero to your country son”
I do not trust this government at all, AT ALL. The Democrats Gestapo the FBI could have set this all up knowing full well the kid would never talk as he would be taken out after the deed was done and then they raid his house, taking all evidence with them.
We all KNEW the likelyhood was there they would resort to assassination if the indictments failed, and ask yourself: How surprised were you when he got shot? I was stunned, but not surprised at all. These domestic enemies will do ANYTHING to prevent our President from taking power.
There are more strange things going on with this incident than in an episode of The Outer Limits.
I think the “powers that be” are deliberately leaking false information to the media in order to “muddy the waters”. Later, when someone mentions what is now being reported, they can say, “Oh,no one reported that. That story is just a right-wing conspiracy theory”.

we all saw the video of locals on the ground around the area pointing and saying there is someone on the roof with a rifle, yet they allowed trump to keep on speaking.
We know now sniper’s were aware of him and did nothing until he got the shots off.
This is deliberate
My take is the Secret Service only covered the inner area around Trump and local law enforcement covered the outer area including the shooter’s location. As such that would put local policies and ROE in effect. In many jurisdictions snipers must wait for authorization and direction to fire on a perp. No so for Secret Service. By putting the firing location under local law enforcement then assigning many police officers to “traffic control” left the venue open to rifle fire.

I’m not saying the dead guy isn’t Crooks, but Hell yes, the Crooks parents are in on it. Did the kid have a history of psychological illness? Well then why the hell did Dad let him have a rifle? They’re both psychologists; shouldn’t they have seen warning signs?

The conspiracy is out there for every last soul to see. The Democrats are even calling it a conspiracy; they’re simply claiming that Trump WANTED to get shot a half-inch from his skull by a non-professional using a non-sniper rifle 400 feet away.
Maybe this Yearrick has something to do with it. Who knows? But Reuters is giving this conspiracy theory one hell of an unearned boost, so that should tell you all you need to know.
That’s what I don’t get about this croooks/yearick conspiracy theory. What’s the motive for making crooks the patsy, and if that was yearick’s body (which I will admit it looks like) then where is crooks right now?
